North Oatlands Animal hospital is proud to announce that we added a new type of service to our existing line of minimally invasive and painless surgical procedures. We now offer laser surgery, which allows us to do bloodless procedures, resulting in minimal post-op swelling and significantly less pain due to sealing of the nerve endings in the incision.
Today we have performed a soft palate resection and nares opening surgery. Immediately upon recovery the dog was able to breathe better, and went home by the end of the day as if he did not have any surgery done at all. It was amazing!
A laser ear crop pup was so much more comfortable after the surgery with minimal bleeding, swelling or head shaking. His ears were standing up immediately post procedure. It was another amazing outcome.
I am so much looking forward to being able to utilize this tool with all of our surgeries and keep all of our patients as comfortable and pain free as we can.

Just got word from Jorge Olivera that Keke - Ch Joval Sweet Fire of Love - finished her weekend with a Reserve Best In Show win under Judge Mrs. Pat Hastings, group Judge Ms. Cecilia (Cec) Ringstrom. This wonderful win came after earning a Group First and a Group Second on the previous days. Congratulations Marilyn & Great Job Team Keke!
