As we prepare for winter, supply need is at an all time high! We need to replace blankets, stock up meds and supplies, alfalfa (always)

The way it works-
Donations are increments of $20
Winner chosen by wheel of names randomly.
Winner gets half of the TOTAL!

I think last time they got $250!

The other half goes to the care of the horses (ahem, I mean big dogs) here at FVR 😉

We have the opportunity to organize a Christmas/Winter themed trail ride for Freedom Valley Rescue. Weather is pretty mild here in December. Would you go on a trail ride then?

🐴 Our “big dogs” are still looking for monthly donors! ❤️

One thing I wish more people understood about running a rescue is just how much monthly donors mean to us.

We can plan for hay, feed, farrier visits, medications, and all the other expenses that come with caring for these big, expensive animals. But planning and actually knowing the money will be there are two very different things.

That’s where monthly donors make such a HUGE difference.

Even $5, $10, or $20 a month adds up. And when we have people committed to giving each month, it takes a little bit of that constant financial pressure off our shoulders.

It means we can breathe a little easier. It means we’re not starting every single month wondering how we’re going to cover everything. And it means we can spend a little less time worrying about fundraising and a little more time doing what we’re actually here to do.

Rescue is expensive. It’s unpredictable. And some days, it’s downright exhausting.

We’re not asking anyone to give more than they can afford. We’re just hoping to find a few more people willing to stand behind these horses month after month.

You might not think your $10 makes much of a difference, but I promise you, when enough people come together, it absolutely does.

Our big dogs eat like horses, because, well… they are. 😂🐴

What’s ONE thing about owning horses that nobody warned you about?

The vet bills? The amount of p**p? The fact that you’ll spend $200 on supplements for your horse but question spending $20 on yourself?

Or maybe the fact that you went out to feed one morning and somehow ended up with three more horses? 🤣

We want to hear the good, the bad, and the downright ridiculous!

✨ Bonded pair needs home ✨ WHO LIKES PROJECTS?

Both around 16 yrs old
Current on teeth, feet, coggins

Very sweet boys. The bay (Loki) has a dog personality. He lunges and does well on the ground. Saddles and is good to sit on, but wants to continuously back up when asked to go forward.
At this time we are working with him trying to figure out why he is doing it, and will continue to work with him.

Odin (bay roan) green broke - maybe? Very sweet but very watchy. Takes some time to warm up to you. Would be a wonderful companion horse.

Contract required.
Adoption fee: $1000 for the pair.
