🐾 Pet Spotlight: Meet Carter! 🐾

This golden retriever puppy just had his very first vet exam, and he never left home for it. No carrier, no car ride, no slippery exam table. Just Carter, belly up on his own living room floor, soaking up all the attention Dr. Jacobs could give him (and asking for more).

A puppy’s first exam sets the tone for every visit after it. When that first visit happens on their own floor, with their own people and their own smells, they learn that the vet means belly rubs, not stress. That’s a great start for a pup we’ll be seeing for years to come.

Both of our vets are Fear Free certified, so we go at your puppy’s pace, every time.

Welcome to the family, Carter! 💙

Bringing home a new puppy or kitten? Send us a message and we’ll help you plan their first visit.

Meet Mr. Waffles, the most dapper patient we've seen all week. 🎩🐾

He came out to our mobile clinic for his annual exam and vaccinations, and just look at him. He's calm, cuddled up, and completely at ease in his favorite person's arms. The smile on his mom's face says it all. 💙

That's the difference when the vet comes to you. We park right in your driveway, so Mr. Waffles went from his front door to his checkup in a few steps. He skipped the long car ride, the crowded waiting room, and the strange smells and barking dogs. With less stress, a pet stays relaxed, and the owner gets to enjoy the visit instead of dreading it.

Thank you for trusting us with your handsome guy, and for letting us share this sweet moment! 😻

Is your pet due for an annual exam or vaccines? Send us a message and we'll bring the clinic to you.

🐶🐱 Just brought a new pet home? Here's a simple first week.
October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, so welcome home!
✅ Set up a quiet spot with a bed, water and food
✅ Keep the routine simple and predictable for the first few days
✅ Introduce other pets slowly, one at a time
✅ Plan a new-pet exam within the first week or two
✅ Keep the paperwork from the shelter or rescue
Book their new-pet exam this week. 🐾

Does this look like a cat who's stressed about the vet? 😼

Meet Loki. He had an ear infection, and we took care of it yesterday without him ever leaving the couch. He spent the whole visit on his favorite lap, getting a good brushing.

When your pet isn't feeling well, the last thing they need is a carrier and a car ride. That's what we love about house calls. When pets stay home:

🏡 There's no carrier, no car ride and no waiting room full of barking strangers.
😌 They stay calmer, which makes for a gentler visit and a more accurate exam. We get to see your pet as they really are, not as they act when they're scared.
🐾 The whole household can be seen in one visit, which matters a lot if you have more than one pet.
🚗 Nobody has to drive. That's a big deal for anyone who can't easily get out, or who has a pet who'd rather not.

Both of our vets are Fear Free certified, so going at your pet's pace is just how we work.

Your pet doesn't need to be "vet-ready." We'll come to them. 💙

Is your pet shaking their head or scratching at their ears? Send us a message and we'll come take a look.

🏡 Curious what a house call actually looks like? It's simpler than you'd think.
You pick a time that fits your day, by phone or email.
We arrive with what we need, and your pet is examined on their own couch with you beside them.
Before we leave, we talk through what we found and what comes next, so you're never left guessing.
No carrier. No car ride. No waiting room.
Both of our doctors are Fear Free certified, so visits stay calm and low-stress.

🐾 Is your senior pet slowing down, or trying to tell you something?
Some changes are normal aging. A few are worth a closer look:
✅ Slower on stairs, or hesitating to jump on the couch
✅ More thirst, or more trips outside than usual
✅ Sleeping more or losing interest in play
✅ Bad breath or dropping food while eating
✅ Changes in appetite or weight
Many of these can be managed, and the earlier we hear about them, the more we can help.
If a few sound familiar, call us and we'll take a look at home. 💙

🍂 Fall in Middle Tennessee is beautiful, and it brings a few hazards for pets. A quick checklist:
✅ Seal up antifreeze and wipe up any drips (it's sweet and very toxic)
✅ Rake up mushrooms before curious noses find them
✅ Keep mouse bait up high, or skip it if pets are around
✅ Keep up tick prevention, since ticks stay active well into fall
✅ Warm beds for senior pets on cool nights
Save this post for your fall to-do list! 📌🐾
