Juno is the most ridiculous muppet I’ve ever met. She is literally the physical embodiment of a Jim Henson character. I had her for a week and I spent more time laughing and playing with her than anything else. She did get her training in! But she also succeeded at halting all productivity to eat a flower or chase a butterfly quite often.

I don’t get enough mini Schnauzers in for training. They are so much fun and so happy to go on an adventure. Fitz was a charming little man and a wonderful ambassador for his jaunty breed.

First German Shepherd of the year has come and gone! Sunny was an extremely quick study and a lovely little anxiety cultivator like all good shepherds. She was only here for the basics but the sky is the limit for what her owner could do with her…so long as it doesn’t require thumbs.

Look at this hunk of Boxer! Here for a couple weeks of training this sweet, sensitive boy named Truman looks like a tough cookie but he is a soft boy whose feelings are easily hurt! Right now the things that hurt his feelings the most are kennels, a harsh tone of voice, and not being allowed to do whatever he wants. While there is zero disobedience in his heart there is a general misunderstanding that just because he is having fun must mean humans are also enjoying his mischief. Luckily he comes from a family of very experienced Boxer people and so they meet him where he is with his clownish sense of humor.

Remy is part Golden, part poodle, part snow kangaroo! She is here for a week of obedience training but more specifically today she is here to let you know that lessons are canceled today and we should be keeping walks short while the air is so cold it hurts our face.

My optimistic and hopefully realistic New Years Resolution for 2026 is to do better about posting the cutie pies that stay with me for training. Here’s Mikey! He is a silly goose who has become an expert at turning everything into a game! He is a very good boy and a sense of humor is vital for working with him. You can’t take life too seriously with Mikey around!

Hey folks! I have a few openings for individual lessons for the next few months. I am trying to get through emails received since I had to hit pause but there’s a ton so if you’re worried I missed you feel invited to send it again to pop back up on my radar.

As usual I don’t answer my phone if it rings so email is the best (only) way to schedule a free consultation.

Spots are limited. Please keep the weather for July and August in mind. If you have a senior dog or something that doesn’t breathe easily (lookin’ at you, Frenchies!) it might be best to wait until the autumn.

For attention here’s a pic of Wesley looking majestic while contemplating the “don’t eat chipmonks” rule at my parents’ house in beautiful Estes Park, CO.
