I love updates from adopters but some updates will break your heart into a thousand pieces. 💔 The world isn't fair and I hate that Zep didn't get to have a long life of lush cuddles with his family. I almost foster failed him until this family came along. I knew he belonged with them and they were living on cloud nine together. A spontaneous blood clot in his heart took him from his family Wednesday. I know his family is devastated. His sisters Layla and Angie are still in long term foster with me and are a daily reminder of how hard this entire group of kittens fought to live and Zep was a miracle. I wish he had so much more time here on earth to soak up all those snuggles but the time he got was filled with love thanks to his amazing family and I am forever grateful for them loving him just as much as I did.

👻Happy Halloween👻 Just 3 black cats that won't be having babies ever again that and I trapped for TNR. 🐈‍⬛️🐈‍⬛️🐈‍⬛️ Baby kitty is now at and will be available for adoption soon. He's already snuggled up to volunteers for some pets and churros. Momma kitty is currently recovering from spay and will be going back to the colony this week. Daddy kitty was neutered Thursday and released back to our colony this weekend. He's been hanging out waiting for his breakfast the last couple of days sporting his new eartip membership badge for This spicy baby purrito is the ONLY suriving kitten of a litter of four from momma and is approximately 6-8 weeks old. Kittens might be cute but please be responsible and TNR. Life in the streets and it's many perils means on average only 50% of the kittens born to feral mommas survive past six months. That's a lot of unnecessary suffering and we are heartbroken it was too late for the siblings of baby kitty. The cycle ends with these 4 adults and 1 baby. TNR saves lives. getting some on the job training this week. Recently we've seen some new cats make their way into the which of course means they have to earn their membership via TNR. These two won't be having any kittens now. We still have a few more adults including a momma cat with kittens to trap. The kittens have been extremely elusive the last couple days trying to nab them. And to make matters more complicated I was in a car accident and totaled my car Thursday. Huge thank you to Nathalie for transporting the trapped cats back and forth to the clinic for me. 💕 We are in desperate need of food for the colony. If you'd like to send anything via our Amazon wishlist the link is in our profile 🐈🐈‍⬛️ I feed approximately 30 cats on my own dime right now and without a car and the possibility of now having to purchase a new one as an added expense I don't know that I can continue feeding the colony without help. had a busy Saturday taking former fosters now residents Siren and Abigail for their yearly checkups. She helped carry them in and packed up the bag and tried to help them avoid shots when the vet brought them in 😂 Can you believe she will be TWO in a couple weeks?! She still has weekly therapies to help her development in muliple areas and lots of specialist appointments but she's happy, healthy, thriving and loves her kitty siblings so much. This week she has been helping me with some TNR and a kitten rescue mission. Updates to come soon 🐈🐈‍⬛️

Update: Devastated to share that Steven went into cardiac arrest this evening and did not make it. 💔 He knew compassion and love because of his amazing family. My heart hurts for them and I hope they can feel all the love and support during their loss from all of us. Everyone we have an SOS. This previous 2x adopter turned rescuer is in need of our help. She has been through it with an extremely challenging pregnancy and hospitalization for almost the entire pregnancy as well as rescuing this amazing little cat. As you can imagine financially that has been devastating to her family and they still found room for this cat in need that someone else had abandoned. A piece of my heart left last night. My house is silent and it feels so empty without my little shadow demanding his 157th snack of the day. I came home from work tonight and was immediately worried that Ziggy wasn't at the door to scream about his late dinner. When I found him I knew this would be our goodbye. Thank you for putting Chesney to bed and staying with her while I rushed him to the vet so he wouldn't have to suffer any longer. We believe he had a stroke in the late afternoon, early evening before I got home. I hate that he was alone for any amount of time before I found him. I know I'll be awake at 4a expecting him to be demanding a snack and snuggles with no regard for what time of the day it is. It just doesn't feel real that my little old man is gone. I thought we still had so much more time. 💔

Any morning that this handsome gentleman is patiently waiting at my patio for breakfast is a good day. Scar is the toughest feral cat on the block and he is determined to be immortal. If you'd like to help him stay full and happy check out my amazon wishlist to send some wet food for the feral colony. I'm down to a couple cans for the feral colony. After I run out, I will have to provide them with dry food only until there is extra money in my budget. Unfortunately Patreon had to change the way they report donations due to changes in IRS laws which means all the small rescues like me now have to pay taxes for 2022 on any donations received from that platform as if it was personal income benefiting us. We make no money off of donations and every penny goes to help animals but we are now paying out of our pocket and being penalized. As a result, many of us have chosen to shut down our patreon accounts which affects our ability to continue providing help to animals. Angie would like to know when her hammock will go back up. She's sorry about the vomit incident off the hammock down the wall splattering half the room🤦‍♀️ Angie and Layla recently had their yearly vaccines and they always get sick after due to their allergies. But they are feeling better now and back to sister snuggles. Their total vet visit came to $111 (invoice included above). The girls have a special diet of raw rabbit due to their severe allergies made by . They are private fosters so I am responsible for their vetting and care costs with no assistance. As a reminder, Junior Foster Mom was born prematurely 12 weeks early and still requires multiple doctor visits and therapies, so I am still on medical leave from fostering cats and kittens due to the time commitment required to care for them. I still care for Layla, Angie and the feral colony but cannot accept new animals. I am happy to make some referrals to local rescues that may be able to assist you if you're lookng for assistance. Angie shows up every night to hang out while junior foster mom watches Peppa Pig. Angie is learning a lot from Peppa. 😂 Angie and Layla are still looking for a forever home that will continue their raw rabbit diet for allergies and regular dental checkups for juvenile stomatitis. They are a pair and cannot be separated and prefer a home without other pets. If you want to be their forever home, DM me. 💜
