At the Horses4Heroes Family Equestrian Center, operated by non-profit Horses4Heroes, we serve all heroes. There seems to be some confusion about the definition of a hero. To some, a hero is that person who gave his life for our freedom or safety or who is disabled in service. Yes, clearly that person is a hero! However to us, anyone whose Call of Duty is to Protect, Serve, Teach and Heal is a hero, too! Who is to say that a single-parent raising kids these days is not a hero? Who is to say that a Foster Parent is not a hero? Who is to say that a caregiver for a child, spouse or parent is not a hero? Not us! The MLK Day Open House scheduled for today at the Horses4Heroes Family Equestrian Center has been cancelled due to rain, wet horses and muddy conditions at the ranch. We regret any inconvenience or disappointment. We need the rain but it certainly can be a challenge when you run an outdoor business! Enjoy your day off from work and school. Anyone who purchased a ticket for today's event can use it at our upcoming open houses on Jan 21 or January 28. See you at the Ranch, just not today!
