I'm hoping to compete in the sport of MONDIORING soon. Previously, I worked for a private zoo as an ANIMAL TRAINER and was the resident trainer/behaviorist for Island Rescue Organization (IRO). Although I mostly handle exotic animals, my true passion is DOG TRAINING with influences from KOEHLER to PRYOR and BALABANOV to ELLIS. These past three days have been a sh*t-show in the dog training industry.

Lots of the comments have turned into debates over the definition and interpretation of the four quadrants.

I remember being naive.

I was proud of clicker training tigers and orangutans until I got a slap in the face when I decided to dive into falconry.

Their methods are thousands of years old, yet you'll see some of the most reliable responses from a predator that's 1,000 feet up in the sky.

That's after first undoing the trauma of capturing them from the wild and then dealing with their aggression.

Their approach is simple. No markers. No overanalyzing the quadrants.

One master falconer told me,

"You're overcomplicating things."

"You're like Jean-Claude Van Damme doing a spinning roundhouse split kick when you could've just punched the guy in the nose." 🤣
