Do you have an e-bike or are you thinking about getting one? Did you know that e-bikes are regulated like motor vehicles by the Forest Service? In the Flathead National Forest you can ride your ebike anywhere (and any time) other motorized vehicles, such as cars, ATVs, or motorcycles are allowed. You can find places to ride on our Motor Vehicle Use Maps. Get one for free at any one of our offices or view them online here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/flathead/maps-pubs

Where is riding e-bikes prohibited? They are prohibited on non-motorized trails and roads that are closed to motorized travel, including any route seasonally closed to motorized use. This prohibition includes non-motorized trails open to regular bicycles.
