Kita’s internal temperature is starting to drop, which can be a sign that her progesterone levels are falling and her body is getting ready for labor! ❤️

We’re officially on puppy watch and getting so excited to meet these sweet babies! 🥹🐶

🐾 What better way to celebrate National Dog Day than seeing healthy babies on the X-ray?! 🐾

We are so excited to share that we are expecting 11–12 precious puppies! 🥹❤️ Mama and babies are all looking healthy and happy, and we couldn’t be more thankful!

Our amazing vet family even commented that Kita looks like such a proud mama—and she absolutely does! 🥰 Her belly is dropping, her milk is starting to come in, and all the signs are telling us we’re getting close!

Her official due date is September 3rd, but I have a feeling we may be meeting these sweet babies a little sooner. 🐶🐶🐶 Kita has been extra clingy and loving, and she is definitely OVER this heat. 😂☀️ This mama is ready for a spa day, some pampering, and a whole lot of rest before her babies arrive!

Please keep Kita and her puppies in your prayers for a safe, smooth delivery, a healthy mama, and 11–12 strong, healthy babies. 🙏🏼🤍

✨ It has been an exceptional day! ✨

We are beyond thrilled to officially announce that Kita and Koda are expecting! 🐾💛 Our ultrasound today confirmed that puppies are on the way!

One of the sweetest moments was watching those tiny little babies squirm around and seeing their precious heartbeats fluttering. But what made the day even more special was watching Kita. She truly seemed so proud, wearing the biggest smile the entire time, as if she knew we were getting our very first glimpse of her babies.

This morning, Kita even joined our family for our chiropractor appointment and was nothing but smiles! At her ultrasound she had never been positioned on a wedge like that before, yet she remained calm, happy, and full of smiles. She made the whole experience so special.

If all continues to go well, puppies are expected around September 3! Toward the end of August, we’ll have an X-ray done to determine how many little ones we’ll be welcoming into the world. If Kita’s history is any indication, we may have another large litter, but only time will tell!

These little Salt & Light babies always keep us busy, but it is such a joy knowing they will become treasured members of so many wonderful families. That is the greatest blessing of all.

We are also excited to share that two puppy deposits have officially been placed! We are continuing to accept deposits while we await our final puppy count.
