A short time ago, Ron’s future wasn’t looking very bright. Now? He’s discovering toys, friends, treats, and that people can be pretty awesome too.

At about a year old, Ron is gaining confidence every day. He’s great with other dogs and really benefits from having canine buddies around to show him how this whole “being a dog” thing works. Even better? He’s good with cats too!

He’s sweet, eager to learn, and ready to leave rescue life behind for good.

💔 Mishka’s world is changing, and not by her choice.

At just 4 years old, Mishka is running out of time in home she’s currently in and needs a fresh start. Through no fault of her own, she finds herself looking for a family willing to give her the third chance she deserves… yes she was already rescued by a Good Samaritan from the street once and placed in the home she no longer is allowed.

Mishka isn’t causing problems and isn’t difficult. In fact, she’s everything most people say they’re looking for in a dog.

Saturday, June 13th is our 2nd Annual Pitties & Pearls event. This years theme?? The Masquerade Edition. Dress to impress in your finest masquerade attire! But let's be real, we're a non-profit dog rescue trying to raise money. Mask is optional. Dressed up denim is fine. The dogs don't care what you wear, we just want everyone to have a good time!

Updated post: yes… confirmed he was dumped…

🚨 .. What we found as a hiding dog was actually dumped at our gate last night (picture in comments) at 9:43pm we discovered.. We came into a dog hiding in the bushes outside our faciliy this am 😞

This sweet boy was tucked away, trying to make himself invisible. We were able to safely catch him, but was absolutely terrified and clearly overwhelmed at first. He has an injured back leg. He is starting to realize he might be okay once we put him in the kennel.

Now the questions begin…

Who is he?
Where did he come from?
Was he dumped? .. why yes, yes he was 😡
Is someone actually looking for him? .. after seeing him dumped on camera .. No we guess not

If this is your dog, please know we’re not interested in excuses or blame. Just help us help him. Even an anonymous note left at our gate would tell us something—his name, his age, whether he likes other dogs, if he’s scared of storms, what food he eats. Anything.

And if you recognize him, please let us know. Share this post far and wide. Maybe someone knows him. Maybe someone is missing him. Maybe there’s a piece of his story out there waiting to be found.

Right now, all we know is that he’s scared, confused, and deserves better than hiding in the bushes alone.

🥹 Aww Mudslide… why the long face, buddy?

Mudslide is the total package — good with dogs, good with cats, and a genuinely sweet, easygoing guy who just wants a family of his own.

Every day he watches people come and go, hoping his turn is next. We’d love nothing more than to see him trading kennel life for a couch, a backyard, and people to call his own. 🏡

Let’s show Mudslide that his happily-ever-after is out there.

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED TO KEEP PETEY OUT OF THE SHELTER 🚨

We’re out of space. And when we say out of space, we mean OUT.

No kennels.
No spare rooms.
No laundry room.
No bathroom.
Not even a storage closet.

Petey needs a foster home ASAP to keep him from ending up in the shelter.

💙 Deserves better than sitting in a kennel wondering what happened

We know someone out there has a couch, a spare room, or a little corner where Petey can land while we work to find his forever family.

What we needed today? A little Hope. ❤️

No, seriously.

We asked for hope today… and Hope arrived.

Hope just happens to be the name of the sweet mama dog who showed up with five newborn puppies in tow. 🤣🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

If you’ve followed rescue for any length of time, you know there are days that test you. Days when the need feels endless, the kennels feel full, and the “yes” feels impossible.

But somehow, right when we need it most, hope shows up.

Today she arrived into her 3rd place 🥹 in just a few days with tiny puppies, hopefully to her 4th and final in foster tonight, and a reminder of why we keep going.

So welcome to PCBP, Hope. We’re happy you’re here, even if you did bring five extra mouths to feed. 😂❤️

If you’d like to help Hope and her babies, we could use supplies, puppy food, donations, and of course a lot of well wishes as this little family settles in. We will get a wish list for her together and post.

Because today, Hope arrived… and we could all use a little more of that. 🐾

💔 We said we were full. The universe sent our way a nursing mama and five newborn puppies anyway.

This afternoon, a mom dog and her five babies are arriving at PCBP after being given away for free.

The woman they were left with is battling terminal Stage 4 cancer. She doesn’t know much about the dog because her son just dropped her with her. She can’t care for a nursing family, but free isn’t the way to go.

So now they’re coming to us.

What do we know?
🐾 Mom appears to be house trained
🐾 Puppies are basically newborns
🐾 We don’t know how she is with other animals
🐾 We don’t even know her name yet
🐾 They need a foster home immediately

And here’s our reality…

We are FULL full full.

Every kennel is spoken for. Foster homes are stretched thin. But there was no way we could leave this little family behind.

Can you foster this mama and babies? We’ll help with supplies, support, and guidance. They just need a safe place to land.

Can’t foster? Please consider donating toward their care. Food, medical care, vaccines, deworming, and eventually spay/neuter costs add up quickly for a family of six.

🥹💕 Ahhh… that “I made it to foster” exhale. 💕🥹

Beba has officially hit the relaxation button.

This precious 4-month-old mixed-breed girl is settling into foster life and looking pretty pleased with her new accommodations. Just look at that belly and her face! ❤️

Honestly, this is the best puppy stage. They’re soaking up everything, learning how to be amazing family dogs, and—perhaps most importantly—their teeth aren’t quite the tiny razor blades they used to be. 😂

Beba may be safe, but we have several other puppies around her age who are still waiting for their chance to trade kennel life for couch life. They don’t need to go together—individual fosters are perfect!

A foster home gives puppies the opportunity to learn routines, gain confidence, and discover that naps on soft blankets are way better than kennel floors.

🖤✨ Introducing Tate! ✨🖤

Tate officially took his freedom ride from PCAC and is now safe with PCBP! 🐾

This sweet boy arrived with demodex and he’s still on the mend but looking so much better than his intake pics! We can already tell he’s going to be one of those incredible rescue glow-up stories. The kind where everyone says, “Wait… that’s the same dog?!”

Right now, Tate is resting comfortably in a temporary foster home, soaking up affection and learning that life can be pretty good. He’s proven to be incredibly sweet, affectionate, and enjoys the company of other dogs.

For now, we’re focused on helping Tate recover, gain strength, and become the amazing dog we know he’s meant to be. We’d love to find him a foster home where he can continue his journey surrounded by love.

He needs a neuter when he is better! We would love a sponsor for that at $125 as well as a little help for his future vetting if anyone dollar or two!
