🧡🤎 Tortie appreciation post! 🤎🧡

Did you know no two tortoiseshell cats have the same pattern? They’re each one of a kind—just like their personalities! Around here, tortitude is definitely a real thing. 😂

Today we had to say goodbye to Mr. Gray
While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and is now free to run, play, and rest peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾

Mr. Gray had been part of our colony since the very first feeding. A senior cat who spent his entire life outdoors, he built a quiet trust with us over the years. Although he was feral, he knew his name, always acknowledged us when we spoke to him, and made his own special presence known.

Over the past few months, Gray’s health had been rapidly declining. On Tuesday, he was diagnosed with severe stomatitis, along with several underlying health issues that were causing significant pain and chronic respiratory drainage.

As rescuers, these are the days we never want to face. But this is also why we do what we do. Community cats deserve compassion just as much as any other animal. Without intervention, Gray would have continued to suffer a slow and painful decline. Instead, he was surrounded by people who cared enough to give him the dignity of a peaceful goodbye.

We hope Gray’s story reminds people why feeding, trapping, and providing medical care for community cats matters. Not every story ends with a happy adoption, but every act of kindness makes a difference.

Run free, Mr. Gray. Thank you for every breakfast, every dinner, every silent hello, and every memory. The colony won’t be the same without you, and you’ll always have a place in our hearts.🩶

Hi, Little’s here. 🤍

I have a brother named Skittles 😌, but today is my turn in the spotlight. ☀️

Don’t let the name fool you… my personality is HUGE! I’m always the first to greet my feeders with a meow. If they stop somewhere else first, I’ll happily follow along to remind them it’s my turn for a plate!! You could say I’m the colony’s self-appointed food supervisor. 🍽️✨

If Littles could talk, what do you think she’d say to her feeders every morning?

Meet Crackerjack & Spot🤎

Two best friends who have already lost the only home they knew.

For the first two years of their lives, Crackerjack and Spot lived safely indoors together. They were happy, litter box trained, and loved having a place to call home.

When their owner had to move, they had nowhere to go.

Now they’re outdoor cats. They’ve adjusted incredibly well, but that doesn’t mean they belong outside forever. They still deserve soft beds, sunny windows, and someone to love them.

🤍 Crackerjack (our gorgeous long-haired calico) is a catnip fanatic.
🖤 Spot (our handsome tuxedo boy) would do just about anything for a lickable treat.

They’re looking for:
🏡 A foster home together while we search for the perfect forever family…
or even better…
🤎 A forever home together.

We provide ALL food, litter, supplies, and veterinary care. The only thing we’re asking for is a safe, loving place for them to stay.

📍Located in Lake Worth, Florida

If you’ve been thinking about fostering, this could be the perfect opportunity to truly change two lives. Even if you can’t foster or adopt, sharing this post could help Crackerjack and Spot find the home they’ve been waiting for. 🐾

🚨 BREAKING NEWZ 🚨

Spot has climbed the Empire State Building to deliver an important message.

Support your local colony cats. 🖤🤍🐾

Some of us are still waiting for our forever homes.

Hi, I’m Petunia… but my feeders call me “Tuna.” ❤️

Just hopping on to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

As the sun goes down, I have one little favor to ask. Fireworks can be really scary for outdoor cats like me, along with other wildlife and pets. The loud noises can make us run, hide, and become frightened.

If you’re celebrating tonight, please be mindful of the animals around you. Keep your pets safely indoors, drive carefully, and if you see an outdoor kitty, give them a little extra patience and kindness. 💙🐾

Wishing everyone a fun, safe, and happy Independence Day!

🐾 Welcome to ColonyKitties 🐾

This page is dedicated to the community cats we care for every day and the amazing people who work together to give them a better life!

Our colony is cared for by 25 dedicated feeders. Every morning and evening, rain or shine, our cats receive wet food, while fresh water and dry food are always available. We also provide monthly flea prevention, monitor their health, treat minor wounds, and help sick or injured cats get the care they need.

Our mission goes beyond our colony. If a community cat needs help, we do everything we can to give them a second chance—whether that means medical care, foster placement, or finding a loving forever home.

Most importantly, we’ve built trust. Many of these cats were once afraid of people, but through patience, consistency, and compassion, they’ve learned that humans can be kind.

Follow along for daily colony updates, rescue stories, and the many cats in our care who are looking for forever families. Thank you for being here and supporting our mission. 🧡🐱

🐾 Meet Pam 🐾

Behind every happy ending is someone willing to put in the time, patience, and love—and for our colony, that person is Pam. ❤️

Since August 2023, Pam has dedicated herself to caring for community cats, making sure they’re fed, safe, and never forgotten. But her passion goes far beyond feeding.

Over the past few years, Pam has helped more than 40 cats find loving forever homes. She works closely with local veterinarians to ensure each cat receives the medical care they need, from health testing before adoption to treatment for injured and sick cats.

Rescuing community cats takes dedication, compassion, and countless hours of hard work. Every adoption, every recovery, and every second chance is the result of Pam’s unwavering commitment to giving these cats the lives they deserve.

Simply put, none of this would be possible without her. Her kindness has changed the lives of so many cats, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she does. 💛🐱
