Yiiiiikes. We've been there with hoarders but never this many. If you're able to donate to Hopatcong Animal Shelter, please do. If you have physical things their address is 332 Durban Ave- PLEASE STICK TO WHAT THEY ARE REQUESTING!

If you have fencing or a larger ac item please reach out to their page directly. Saturday if you have an extra carrier or food and would like to bring to Jefferson's open house, I'll shuttle over some things in the beebus afterwards. :)

I'm still alive!

I better be seeing ALL YALLS at the open house!
We have an awesome mix. Lot of nice friendly faces. And Triskit and Ritz who ARE STILL wondering why they haven't gone home yet. They've evolved beautifully in foster camp and are total loves!

The Jefferson Pound Open House/Adoption Day is coming up in 20 more days!

You can meet all the cats you have gotten to know here! If you have an approved pre-adopt form you will be able to take your cat home with you that day! (In most cases, as long as the cat is ready!)

Triskit and Ritz, our bonded siblings who have been at the pound since they were tiny kittens way back in 2024 will be coming to the even from their foster home (as they have done for the last few open houses) and hopefully this will be the time someone meets them and they get a real home!

We will be there from 11-2

Several very nice cats have been waiting for homes for a long time!

(And I cannot tell you officially because I don't know how ready they are (they are small) but I did see two kiddens last Friday who came in with their mom.)

Jefferson Pound, Lake Hopatcong NJ

Tuxedo siblings Triskit & Ritz came to us on 10/4/2024
You read that right, 2024.
They were just a few months old, and they've been waiting for a home ever since.

Finally, this spring, two former adopters stepped up to foster them and give these kiddos a much needed break. But since then, plenty of other cats have gone home, and still not a peep of interest for Triskit and Ritz.

This IS a guilt trip post. They will be returning to the pound by the end of the school year going into summer break, as their foster parents aren't able to keep them. They shouldn't have to. These kiddos should be in a home of their own at this point, and it feels like a failure on our part that they still haven't managed to find their forever people like their two brothers have.

HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!

Invisible mama Noodle (25-038) & Ponzi (26-004) have officially left the building…
TOGETHER!

Their new parents first met them at our March open house, and when Ponzi’s “gender reveal” confirmed she was a girl, it sealed the deal. These two were meant to go home as a pair.

Their adopters are experienced cat parents who recently said goodbye to the last of their longtime crew, leaving their home feeling a little too quiet. We couldn’t be happier that they chose bubbly, snuggly Ponzi, and took a leap of faith on shy Noodle, giving her the kind of calm, loving home (with a confident and gentle feline friend!) where she can truly flourish after nearly a year of waiting.
