Remy Update 💛🐾
Remy is doing well with the team at Rise, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. He will be staying there one more day so they can continue to closely monitor him before he begins the next step of his rehabilitation with his foster.

We now know just how much Remy has been fighting through.

His condition is the result of severe, prolonged malnourishment. He is less than half of his ideal body weight — nothing but skin and bones. His little body is severely depleted, and he has been diagnosed with nutrient deficiencies and flea anemia. He is still battling tapeworms and significant muscle weakness.

And then we learned he had a ROCK in his stomach. A rock!💔🪨

We can’t help but wonder how long he had been living this way. How long was he hungry? How long was he weak? How long had he been trying to survive with so little?

We honestly don’t know how much time Remy had left when our paths finally crossed. But we do know that he was found, he was seen, and he is finally getting the care he so desperately needed.

Tomorrow, Remy will continue his journey toward recovery in the loving care of his foster. There is a long road ahead, and he has a lot of healing to do — but he is here. He is fighting. And he is not alone anymore. 💛

We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported Remy and continues to follow his journey. Your love, prayers, donations, and encouragement mean more than you know.

Remy was found almost lifeless on the streets of LA today. 💔 He is now safe and receiving care with the Rise Pet Health team.
Not every rescue is planned. Sometimes, they happen spontaneously — because an animal needs help right then and there. That’s how Remy’s story began.

Now, Remy needs a foster to help him through this difficult stage. He needs a safe, loving place where he can rest, recover, and begin to heal. 💛

🐾 Meet Sasa! 💛 This 3-year-old Miniature Poodle is all smiles, cuddles, and personality! She loves walks, exploring, treats, neck scratches, and—of course—stealing every pillow she can find. 🛏️😂

Sasa has meningoencephalitis and is currently on a treatment plan with monthly injections, but with her medical care, she gets to enjoy life just like any other happy pup. She’s loyal, affectionate, smart, and gets along with dogs and cats. 🐶🐱

All Sasa wants is a person to love, a lap to curl up in, and a pillow to call her own.💛🐾

🐾 Meet Owen! 💛 This 10-year-old senior gentleman is the definition of mellow. Rescued as a stray from an LA shelter, Owen has blossomed into a sweet, loving boy who just wants to be near his person—preferably for a nap! 😴

Owen loves leisurely walks, meeting neighborhood pups, and sniffing every smell along the way. He’s blind in one eye, but with a little guidance, he happily explores the world. He’s also a total sweetheart with our three cats and is making great progress with house and crate training.

Owen is a gentle, loyal companion who would love nothing more than a cozy home to spend his golden years. 🐶💛

At 10 years old, Penny has already beaten impossible odds. Found as a stray, she arrived at the shelter with one missing eye and the other causing her constant pain. After losing her remaining eye, she was placed on the euthanasia list just days later—but thankfully, her story didn’t end there.
Now this sweet, completely blind Maltese is looking for the patient family she deserves. Penny loves to be held, gives the sweetest kisses, is mostly potty trained, and confidently explores the world with her heart leading the way. She may be blind, but nothing stops her from loving life (or hiding treats for later!).
Penny is looking for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, snuggled, and cherished for the rest of her days. Could that be with you? 💛🐾

Brady is a 13-year-old Chihuahua who is finally getting the second chance he’s always deserved. Rescued from a hoarding situation with 18 other dogs, he’s discovering what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.

Blanca is an 8-year-old Chihuahua with the sweetest soul and just the right amount of sass. Rescued from a hoarding situation with 18 other dogs, she’s embracing her second chance and showing us more of her personality every day.
She loves slow, sniff-filled walks, meeting new friends, and following her favorite person from room to room. She’s independent enough to enjoy a cozy nap nearby, but always likes to know where you are. Blanca also has a hilarious playful side—you might catch her spinning like a tiny Tasmanian devil while chasing her tail! 🌪️
She’s a great little traveler, walks beautifully on leash, loves gentle pampering, and is highly motivated by snacks (so don’t leave a chair pulled out near the dinner table! 😉).
