We exercise multiple times a day, every single day. But behind the scenes, we’re constantly working.. pack focus, obedience, listening as a group, recall, boundaries, and staying focused through distractions.

And one of the biggest things? Learning how to exist calmly and appropriately around our kids. These dogs are part of our family, but they’re also powerful dogs, so structure and consistency matter.

I don’t always video our training sessions or outings because, truthfully, when I’m juggling kids AND a pack of dogs, pulling my phone out is usually the last thing on my mind. 😂

But just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean the work isn’t happening.

We put the work in daily. The fun, the freedom, and the pack you see are built on structure. 🖤🐾

Clean kennels are the bare minimum. 👏🏼

I get comments almost daily about how clean our kennels are, and that’s something I take a lot of pride in.

But the truth is, it shouldn’t be impressive.. it should be STANDARD.

Dogs deserve clean, healthy environments where they can thrive. Fresh water, clean bedding, sanitized kennels, picked-up yards, and a space that’s maintained every single day… not just when someone is coming over.

Around here, I like to stay inspection ready 24/7. If someone walked through our kennel unexpectedly, I want to be proud of exactly what they see.

It’s a lot of work. It’s every single day. And with multiple large dogs, sometimes it feels never-ending. 😂 But cleanliness, health, and proper care will always be a priority at Grizzly Ridge. 🐾

A lot of people went nuts over my video of the dogs doing their job… protecting their home. 🐾

But you know what’s even more impressive?

I decide when they get to do that.

Can you keep SIX Cane Corsos in a sit-stay while your Walmart delivery pulls up? WHILE they’re protecting 4 kids? Because that’s the part people don’t always see.

We work on pack obedience DAILY. It’s not always perfect. It’s definitely not always easy. But THIS is why I put so much time into working with my dogs.

Yes, they all wear e-collars. They’re there for safety and as a reminder… not because I’m constantly correcting my dogs.

My voice is enough.

If somebody decides they suddenly forgot how to listen? Which happens.😂 A whistle from the collar is their reminder.

That’s it. That’s all they need.

Protection is impressive.

Protection with an off switch? Control around distractions? Six powerful dogs that understand when it’s time to work and when it’s time to settle?

That’s what I’m proud of. 💪🐾
