š Meet our latest graduate, Neville! š¾
Neville is a 6-year-old Cockapoo who was adopted by his mom during the COVID lockdown. For a long time, the two of them did almost everything together, and Neville even slept in the bed. Over time, that close bond contributed to some pretty significant separation anxiety ā and leash reactivity ā that became increasingly difficult for his family to manage.
When left alone, Neville would pant, drool, scratch at doors, and struggle to settle. Training was tough for him in the beginning, but something really important happened once we introduced structure, routine, and clear expectations: Neville started to relax.
His anxiety isnāt completely gone, and we never expect overnight transformations. But he has made huge, huge progress in learning that he can be okay on his own and that the world isnāt something he needs to constantly worry about.
We are beyond proud of this little guy and, just as importantly, incredibly proud of his family for committing to his future and helping him develop a healthier state of mind. ā¤ļø
Way to go, Neville! We canāt wait to see where you go from here! š¶š
