🇺🇸 Holiday weekends are fun for us… but they can be stressful (and dangerous) for our dogs. 🐾

A few quick reminders to help keep your pups safe this weekend:

🎆 Fireworks can scare even the calmest dogs — keep them indoors, secure, and wearing ID tags.
🌭 BBQ foods like onions, bones, grapes, alcohol, and chocolate can be toxic.
☀️ Hot pavement burns paws FAST — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet.
💦 Make sure they always have fresh water and shade if they’re outside.
🚪 With guests coming and going, double-check gates, doors, and fences so no one slips out unnoticed.

And maybe most importantly… give them a little extra love. They don’t understand the holiday — they just know where their favorite humans are. ❤️🐶

We were contacted a couple days ago by a caseworker from Lost Dogs of Wisconsin about a dog, June, that was newly adopted and had escaped. I spoke with the owner on Saturday night and said I would head over the next day to set up a camera and some food. An hour after I left, she was on our camera eating. So, we put the trap up yesterday. Within 24 hours, she was in the trap.

We would like to thank the owners for their help and dedication to catching her. Also like to thank the neighborhood for reporting sightings and helping as they were able to.

So happy June is safe. 🐾 ❤️

We would like to thank Amy from the shelter for reaching out, and the staff for being so patient with us today when our trap was having technical difficulties. While Tim was putting the trap together today, this sweet pup was hanging around watching and sneaking our chicken 😆. We knew it was just a matter of time until she was caught.

We were so glad to hear that she hear they were able to catch her and bring her into safety. ❤️

We were contacted a couple days ago about a dog who had been on the run down by Fall Creek for a couple of days. We were then notified about a house that he had been going to three nights in a row. After talking with the home owners, on Thursday we put up cameras and food. He visited a couple times. So, last night we set the trap around 5PM and he was in by 1AM.

Thank you to the home owners for their help, support and love for this dog. Also, thank you to all those who helped with any reported sightings of him. He is now safe. 🐾 ❤️
