These pups are thriving in their new homes! I’m loving the updates, photos, and hearing how they’re settling in.

One sweet girl in particular is keeping her new mom on her toes with nonstop whining and a strong desire to be held at all times. Pre-spoiled much? 😬🐶

And if you look closely, you’ll spot a familiar face in one of these pictures—Birdie (black/tan) from Reese’s litter last year.

🎉 Today, Trex turns 4—my little stud muffin who’s been right by my side through this whole journey 💚 What makes it even more special is that today is also Piper’s Gotcha Day, four years ago.

These two are where it all began. They started this obsession, this passion, and this life surrounded by dogs—and they are incredibly special to me. I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🐶💜

🐾❤️ All Grown & Gone Home ❤️🐾

All 6 of Lexi’s pups have officially made it to their forever homes over the past week. I think I say this every litter, but somehow, each time, the families just keep getting better, and I couldn’t ask for anything more for these babies.

Three pups are staying local (so I’ll still get to see them), and the other three went to wonderful homes that have already been claimed by dachshunds.

The house will definitely be a little quieter now… but not for long. Focus shifts to the 5 newest additions for the next couple weeks—until Hazelnut decides to pop.

One of my coworker’s daughter and granddaughter met the puppies one time… and when they saw a dachshund statue at Hobby Lobby this weekend, sweet Josie said, “Catherine has to have this!” 🥹

Needless to say, it’s now proudly displayed and so loved. The cutest, most thoughtful surprise! …it might even get its own name and be decorated for each season 😉

Reese got spayed today. She was my 2nd female and had one litter. Unfortunately, she had some complications and motherhood just wasn’t for her, so she will be living the good retirement life here with me and being a great aunt to all the other babies born here in the future ❤️
