Hi everyone! My names Mariah and I recently moved from Colorado to Lacombe. I used to offer pet sitting/walking before I moved and I’m looking forward to getting back into it here!
Im currently working part time at a doggie daycare/ boarding kennel, with it being part time, I have pretty flexible availability. Most visits will be with my 3 month old baby, and for overnight visits it will be me, the baby, and my significant other.
I treat every animal like my own, with love, patience, and lots of attention. Whether you need help with occasional walks, drop-in visits, or someone to stay the night, I can work with your schedule and budget. Hello, are you or someone you know in search of pet sitting/walking services in the area? I have lots of experience with all types of animals ranging from dogs/cats to some farm animals to even reptiles! I can stay at your home, do drop in visits for feedings and some play time, or even just for a quick walk while you’re at work! I’m located in delta, I cover all of delta county. I can also go to olathe and montrose! I’m willing to go farther for overnight care, places like Junction, but I will have to charge a gas fee for drop in visits and dog walking if it’s more than a 30-ish minute drive. For over night stays, I do ask if my boyfriend can come and stay with me, I am currently pregnant, due the beginning of August and it makes me a little uncomfortable staying away from home by myself while pregnant. Hi everyone! I'm excited to offer pet sitting and dog walking services in the area! I have many years of experience, including fostering dogs for about 10 years, working at a boarding kennel for a short time, and watching pets for family and friends over the years.
I fostered dogs from the time I was about 8 years old until I was about 18, when I fell in love with one of my foster dogs, Mazie and ending up adopting her. I loved fostering so much and will more than likely continue fostering in the future. My dog doesn’t always play well with other dogs, which is a part of the reason I am taking a break from fostering. I do look forward to helping more pups find their forever home in the future.
I absolutely loved the job I had at the boarding kennel, seeing and spending time with all the different dog and cat personalities everyday. Making sure they had an enjoyable visit was worth all the cleanup after them I had to do. I cleaned their kennels top to bottom, inside and out everyday, along with washing their water bowls, feeding them the correct food and amount, and whatever oral medications they may have been sent with. etc.
I have pet sit for one of my neighbors from when I was about 10, until I was about 19. That dog was my best friend for many years, we did everything together. I would sometimes go knock on my neighbors door just to take the dog out for a few hours. Long walks, hikes, swimming, I’d even take her camping with me sometimes. As she got older she had a very specific diet and oral medications for her joints and such. I also cared for the cats, they only came to say hi every now and then for occasional pets while I was refilling their food.
I have experience with lots of different animals, dogs of all sizes, cats, some reptile experience, some farm animal experience, I have a bird of my own, and i’m always open to learning something new!
My primary goal is to contribute positively to the community, delivering reliable, and compassionate care to all pets. Whether it’s a quick walk, daily visits, or overnight care, I’ve got you covered.
