Hey there! Happy National Dog Day!
I have a few things I would like to address..
The Mutt has brought a lot of dogs into my life, I've also met so many wonderful people and community from this experience 😊 I am incredibly grateful! It brings a lot of joy to share and connect with others.. and it's all because of dogs!
If you've been around for a bit... you've maybe noticed over the last two months that I haven't been posting as much on social media. Trust me, we've been running around IRL.
A few lovely humans asked if things are ok, to be frank.. YES and NO.
1. The Mutt has been great! It's cool to see things more established as our second summer winds down. We never expected things to grow as much so it is really exciting but also comes with a lot of work/responsibility.
There are now a couple of lovely humans who are helping with operations behind the scenes and with the doggos. Their support has been crucial. It's been a big relief for us to have some extra hands, hearts, and minds who also believe in The Mutt.
2. I, Lyndsie, have been burnt out. For a variety of reasons- I've been at capacity, overwhelmed, depleted, in a state of "freeze" and existential dread. In July I took planned time off to spend with family and friends. It gave me space to sit down and reflect on the last year because there have been a lot of shifts in my personal life. The Mutt has been such a blessing but not my exact plan 😊
But going down this path has reignited a passion for dogs that I've had from a very young age. I'm eager to see where it will take things.
I am incredibly thankful to have so many people cheering on and supporting The Mutt. It takes a pack (or a village as some might say). Every tag, like, comment, connection, well wish and beyond makes a ripple. It's noticed not only by me but literally by the outside world.
Thank you for letting us take your dog out and for your patience ❤️
Here's to the love of dogs, tail wags and more adventures!
