Traci's Paws supports rescues & shelters, but most importantly, we provide families in need with pet food, essential supplies, and free veterinary care so their pets never have to enter the shelter system. We're dedicated to saving homeless animals' lives by assisting pet rescue organizations, animal centers & shelters, and pet owners in our community and nationally. Through our work, we can incre

ase these organizations' adoption success rates by facilitating adoption events and providing funds & supplies needed to keep them thriving. Traci's Paws also works with our community of pet owners to help ensure their experience is the best possible to keep their pets in their homes for life. This may be assisting with humane education, spay and neuter advocacy, our national Pet Food Fund, and providing information on other programs that rescue partners may have that benefit these pet owners. We also have a Military Appreciation Pet Adoption Sponsorship Fund for active duty military families and veterans approved for pet adoption through a 501c3 animal rescue, shelter, or center. Traci's Paws strives to work with rescue organizations, animal centers, shelters, and the community to build a network of supporters and volunteers that creates a better world for homeless pets and their families while decreasing pet overpopulation. UPDATE! Thanks to and for answering my call for help on short notice! The owner who needed to surrender the puppies relinquished them to A New Life Rescue. I am finally home and did all if my messaging in between doctor's appointments and a class, and didn't have time to access social media all day, and greatly appreciate those who sent me a text as requested. Helping animals and families takes a village and almost always, there's not enough time or enough volunteers.
But I am SO thankful we could help this family so quickly today!

URGENT: NEED FOSTER FOR 3 PUPS TODAY!

WHAT I KNOW:

Owner called us in a final plea for help.

The mother had complications during birth, had two surgeries, and was unable to nurse the puppies.

The owner has bottle-fed them for a month.

Mother is a Chihuahua/Min Pin mix.

Father is a Dachshund.

They're about 560g each.

2 females, brown and tan
1 male, black and tan

They are in the Kearny Mesa area.

Must find a foster tonight. THIS WAS HER FINAL PLEA FOR HELP because she leaves tonight for an extended trip.

Text me if you can take them. I'll be in appointments and a meeting until 4:30 pm and can't take calls.

Summer has been here for a few months, and team Traci's Paws, Inc. has definitely felt it! Although we've gotten accustomed to the moderate temps here in San Diego, we, along with other cities across the United States, are under a DANGEROUS High Heat Advisory in the coming days and weeks.

Like people, animals living in areas with moderate temps are just not accustomed to extreme heat like what we’re experiencing here in San Diego or anywhere in the United States. (Especially when it's in the 60's one day and over 100 the next.)
