I highly encourage dog people to join their local kennel clubs. It's a fun way to meet other dog people, and you can volunteer at the local show and dog sports.
I got to work at the Marquette show in the rally and obedience ring, and I ended up falling in love with dog sports. I got to meet a bunch of really awesome people, meet some interesting dogs, and made some awesome memories.

We're still here, even if our Facebook isn't as active.

I (Melissa) have had some health issues kick my butt this winter, and haven't had the energy to keep up with the social media, but Kim is still hard at work, creating all sorts of beautiful collars and such.
