We say it all the time, but these photos prove it: A foster home can change the life of a shelter pet. 👏
Lil Sebastian has been with PAWS for over a year now. And although he has made great progress with those he knows, in our kennels, he remains nervous, avoidant, and shy. Shelter life is too overwhelming for him. Because of this, when people walk through our kennels, they tend to overlook and walk past him. 😢
But recently we had an AMAZING woman come forward wanting to give him a chance to decompress. Here’s what Lil Sebastian’s current foster mom has to say: 👇
“Lil Sebastian is digging home life! There are so many new sights, sounds, and smells. He’s getting used to them. He still doesn’t know what to make of the roosters crowing in neighboring yards though. They have a really weird bark! He’s getting comfortable in the house and backyard. The world outside of the front door is still a little overwhelming, but he’ll be a pro at walking around the neighborhood in no time.
Lil Sebastian loves the crate in the living room to decompress. The couch is comfy, too and he likes to crawl up in my lap for cuddles! I think his favorite time so far is the mornings (other than those pesky rooster barks). He goes outside to do his business, have some breakfast, and then it’s PLAY TIME! Zoomies in the backyard and playing fetch with the oversized tennis ball are his faves.” (Can you tell by the photos?! 😉)
This is the real Lil Sebastian. He is happy, playful, and full of life. This is what happens when you give a shelter dog a chance and look past their kennel behavior. 👏
Lil Sebastian is still looking for a forever home though. Adopt him today! We know, that with a permanent home, he will only continue to blossom. 🥰
