For the Love of Aria

For the Love of Aria Vision:

We BELIEVE it takes a collaborative community to facilitate change and help for America’s mustangs.

For the Love of Aria provides a dedicated path to lifelong care through the rehabilitation and protection of equines, honoring their resilience, strength and spirit. We will provide education, resources and support to the humans making a difference for these beloved horses. Goals:

- Hands on gentling and training
- Continue to partner with other organizations that align with our beliefs and value

s
- Host clinics to help others learn about wild mustangs and how to work with them
- Give people the ability to adopt gentled and trained mustangs so they can also partner with these amazing horses
- Create programs so that more people can come to our facility to learn about the bigger picture and what is happening in our HMA’s
- Raise awareness for the growing number of mustangs in government short and long term holding facilities

Tomorrow we finally get to meet her🥹 Tomorrow she finally gets to see the outside of a holding facility😭 Born in Canon City to a Sand Wash mare in 2022 then shipped to Wheatland when the facility closed💔 She doesn’t know there is green grass and pastures to run in🥰 But tomorrow she will get to see glimpses of her future and the many other mustangs who know exactly what lies ahead for her🥳 Tomorrow, everything changes💚

She has no idea she is about to see what it means to Believe and Begin Again🩵 But we know💜

Tomorrow we will drive all day to show her that her life matters and she is already loved by so many🥰

And next week she will begin her gentling journey here at Stormie Acres with Anna Twinney Holistic Horsemanship and then she will be looking for her forever family once we get to know her better💖 She is Sales Authority so doesn’t need to wait a year but will only leave here with an adoption contract💛 Are you her forever?

You will want to follow along as we get to know her, give her a name and “make up” who her parents are🫣

Beautiful girl, let’s do this🙌🤎

Huge thank you to Legends & Legacies Wild Horse Ranch and Banditas Wild Horse Promise for helping this girl find her way to her forever❣️

🩵💜TuesdayTruth💜🩵

As I work with Sugar Cookie and Charlie as they get closer to their gelding and as I stand in awe of Inola’s filly Starblazer, my heart is full🥹

And as we get ready for the Anna Twinney Holistic Horsemanship clinics and I watch Jaci settle at Harmonized Horsemanship and I get to know Dakota? My body is tired and my mind keeps spiraling🤦‍♀️ Just being honest🤷🏻‍♀️ Deciding what happens next for each equine comes with a lot of pressure to get it “right” and we never take those decisions lightly🥳 Do we always get it right the first time? Of course not. So we try again. As many times as it takes to give them all they need for their next chapter❣️

So much happens here on a daily basis and I often long to remember when I didn’t have something to do every hour of every day😵‍💫 And the sleepless nights that are too many to count overwhelm me some days, well nights😭

Then I remember, EVERY dream we ever had for this nonprofit and our daughter Abby has come true🥺 And that puts it all into perspective❤️

Getting to know Sand Wash Basin Disco (2017 Tango x Lizzy) is the honor of a lifetime🤍🤎 And seeing Sand Wash Lark (lineage unknown) and Shocktop (2014 Haze x Demi) out my window every morning? Surreal😍

So today, exhausted with no time to rest, I say thank you🩵 Thank you to every single person and every single equine who has gotten us here💜

Seven years ago, we had a dream and today we are living it🙌🐴💚

We are changing lives, equine and human more than most will ever know🥰

And that’s okay💕

They know💛 And that’s all that matters🤎🤍🩶🖤

Oh Hope💔💖

What I would give to have you here growing up with Jeremiah and Anaya’s Starblazer🥺

Pandora is doing well and I swear she has probably healed me more than I have her, but we are doing it together💕

Although we have a mom and baby program called Charlie’s Legacy- A Labor of Love, both Ivy and Pandora were never picked because they were pregnant😭 Honestly it never crossed my mind they would come out of holding pregnant. Then they got off the trailer😱

And Piceance mustang mares Sky (was Ivy but we had to change it, see above) and her c**t Centauri (Sugar Cookie) and Calysta and her c**t Charlie as well as Inola and Starblazer were also not picked because of that program💖 Yet five mustang babies came into our lives😭💜

Stay tuned for an update on those mustang babies, their moms and a few others🩵

Today we celebrate two months with sweet Jeremiah🩵

Ivy has had our hearts since the minute she was first seen in Sand Wash Basin so having her and her c**t here is still a bit surreal🥹💜

Tomorrow will be two months without our sweet . . . .

Most of my boyfriends have four hooves😍😆🐴

Country life with young mustangs is the best💜

This is my memory from two years ago and all of these boys are so grown up now🥰 They have all been adopted or have an adopter waiting except Aramis (2019 Dartanyan x Cece) who chose here for his forever🩵

💙💙Happy 24th Birthday Thunder💙💙

Thunder is Emily’s heart horse and our personal rescue🥹 He came to us from Drifter's Hearts of Hope over 8 years ago🥰

He won Santa Anita and he has a plate and screws in his right hind💔 Multiple vets believe it was done to make him a little bit faster as there is no evidence of a fracture😭 We don’t know his full story but we chose to write a new one for him and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made💜 Even if Emily stole him from me😆 Okay, he chose her but I’m still a little bitter😂🩵

OTTB’s (off the track thoroughbreds) have my heart as I grew up in that industry but had no idea about the dark side😔 The industry and what happens to many of those horses is horrific in our opinion. Human choices that serve only the humans. But enough about the bad🫠

When they are bred to run that’s what they are going to do. And although he was started way too early, he truly gave Emily wings after a long rehab and many, many, many lessons with Harmonized Horsemanship🖤

He has been retired for a few years now and his best friend is a 25 year old warmblood gelding who also retired from the eventing world a few years ago🥳 And those boys still act like they are two some days when they are turned out🙌 Also why they can’t be turned out with mares🫣

The horses who change our own world have a special place in our hearts❤️
