🧡🧡Why We Rescue Wednesday🧡🧡
Now it’s time to congratulate a forever family for Jaci🥹
We had no idea we would get another mustang in June of 2025. We didn’t even take a trailer to the event. But then Little Book Cliffs Toffee, a three year old filly had no bids😔 Sarah and I just couldn’t leave the event without her💚 And Madison agreed to take her🥰
She spent almost a year at Aria Across the Slope and we had a hard time finding consistent trainers for her. So at the end of May I brought her home with me💖 And the very next day one of our favorite families and previous adopter came to meet her❣️ And it truly was love at first sight for both Erica and Jaci🥳 I was never really able to build a relationship with Jaci since she was across the slope and has high expectations of humans. But I handed Erica the halter and lead rope and what happened next blew me away😱 Jaci let Erica not only catch her but groom her, pick up all her feet and lead her around😭 You truly cannot make up when it’s the perfect match and that was just the beginning🥳
Then Jaci went to one of our favorite trainers, Jess at Harmonized Horsemanship🖤
And at the beginning of this month the Nimmo family took over all of her expenses and Erica plans to spend several more months learning all she can about Jaci and their forever partnership💕
Their first adoption from us was Telluride’s c**t, Durango born in 2021💙 They also fostered two dude ranch horses for us after they retired and went on to live out their lives with their family🥹 And remember when I was begging people to adopt tag 0078 (now Jameson) in 2024? Well they found their own gelding with no bids and they named him Phoenix🤎🖤 And he was part of our Anna Twinney mustang gentling course that year before he went home with them💙 Oh, and their daughter Jocelyn, was also one of the first riders in our lesson program🐴 So many connections!! We might also have a few cats from them and we always joke that we will take their kittens if they keep taking our horses😆
And this is why🩵
Why we take those with no bids that turn out to be the most incredible mustangs and we have a villiage that helps us do right by all of them💜
And that includes all of you who support us, for and because of the wild ones🖤🩶🤍🤎
Congratulations Jace, Erica, Jocelyn and Braxton on your adoption of this special mare💖
We had hoped to get pictures of their family at our event on Saturday but back to school illness happened so they were unable to make the drive over the mountain but we promise to get one of them and Jaci when she arrives at their farm❣️ They are deciding on a new name for this special girl because Jace and Jaci😆🙌💖
