This 14.2hh 4 year old mare, is a quiet, lovable, and huggable horse. She’s been trained in a foundation for Reining/ Ranch Riding that also works well for Dressage, trail classes, or any similar guiding discipline. Her temperament is like what the Appaloosa’s are known for.
I have owned this horse since she was a yearling. All riding training and most groundwork were done by me.
She’s been ridden in a way that prepares her to be ridden one-handed and neck reined. Not easily spooked and is easy to catch in a pasture. On the ground, she’s learned to walk beside or behind her handler (she prefers to walk behind). Move her shoulders with a soft touch all the way around in a 360. Back her up and steer her. You can back her in different ways, like wiggling the lead rope or pressing her nose. Sidepass her on the ground by waving a stick side to side. Lower her head by pressing on her pole. She has had some training with sideline and front hobbles and does not panic when they are on her.
When mounting, the rider can use a fence rail or mounting block to get on either side. She’s trained to stand until told to walk off. She has been trained inside and outside of the arena. Outside of the arena she is good on the trail and does not spook easily. She can be ridden away from the barn or other horses by herself and doesn’t try to hurry back home. She has been ridden all over the pasture, in the trees, and also around the farm equipment. Has been trained to walk over a bridge obstacle and has extensive practice opening and closing a gate. Ridden through water and up and down hills, where she was taught not to rush going up or down. She has experience around cattle and likes to work them.

•Trained to go from walk to trot with just a squeeze of the legs
•Starts to lope from either a squeeze of the legs or voice command
•Walk, Trot, and Lope on a loose rein inside and outside of the arena
•Maintains gait with very minimal reminders
•’Listens’ to riders seat
•Slows down from lope to trot or lope to walk based upon the riders body position.
•Knows 4 different cues to stop; 1-The riders body position or seat. 2-The word, “whoa”. 3-two reins. 4- one rein.
• Can collect and vertically flex at the walk, trot and lope
•Not just loped in circles, but has had extensive guiding training to develop ‘Power Steering’

•Moves shoulders off of leg at the standstill, walk, trot, and lope

•Backs and can be maneuvered and steered while backing
