The storage purge continues! Now we are offering 3 pound containers of blue cloud and blue beauty dust. These are priced at 7:50 each plus shipping. We’ve had an unusual number of fur chewing rescues come in lately. Fur chewing can become chronic if the primary issue isn’t addressed. So far, Whimsy has only ever seen two actual chronic fur chewing cases in the last 30 years. Don’t be a lazy owner, and accept your chinchillas barbering as a matter of fact. This behavior is an indicator that something is wrong in their environment. They either need a safe place to hide, appropriate chew toys, access to food and water 100% of the time, and a clean cage. It’s amazing. What basic care can do for the health of your pet.

It’s a good day for an adoption! Daisy came in to find a friend. After a little bit of a touchy star, the two girls had a meeting of minds and decided they wanted to be BFFs. Thank you, Brionna and Shamira! Opal was adopted today!

We have a visitor here for pair bonding. The first day together in the playpen was a little rocky. And Whimsy had to intervene before the process was ruined. Today, however the girls have seemed to come to a mutual agreement about the amount of cuddling, each one could stand. Here they are resting nose to nose. This is a very good sign.

I really wish y’all could smell this! This is chamomile. It’s one of the ingredients in our confetti cuisine foraging mix. Chamomile itself smells creamy sweet. I love my job!

Y’all… I have to laugh. You helped us EMPTY two giant barrel bags of reserved foraging leaves. Gone. Vanished. P**f. I thought, “Well, that’ll give us back some storage space.”
But then we harvested pecan wood last week… and those two empty bags? They’re FULL AGAIN.
It’s giving full-on “widow’s jar of oil and flour that never ran out” vibes. Every time we scoop leaves out for you, the stash magically refills itself. And don’t worry, we still have six more full bags sitting in reserve like backup miracles.
If you want one of the 12" cube bulk leaf boxes, they’re freshly topped up and ready to go. Apparently the leaf supply has decided it’s eternal now. So we're offering it up in our etsy store too. ;) https://www.etsy.com/listing/4590024491/apple-pecan-leaf-combo-box

Y’all are absolutely crushing that dried‑leaves special. So many of you are grabbing 4–5 bags at a time, and I love seeing it!
Since the demand is clearly there… how about something even bigger?

A 12" cube box stuffed full of hand‑plucked leaves, shipping included, for $50.
Perfect for heavy foragers, rescues, multi‑chinchilla homes, or anyone who wants a big stash without worrying about storage bags. Keep the leaves stored in the box just like we recommend with loose wood and hay.

Found more dust. We have six canisters of KT Brand dust. The texture and color on these is all over the place so I’m not sure if it’s the original dust or if there’s some other dust in the canisters. I also have two unopened bags of Brytin dust and two unopened bags of Billy buckskin dust still five dollars each per container.

Rescue friends, we are clearing out some storage space and wanted to offer the special items to our community. This year we’ve collected an obscene amount of hand plucked dried leaves from our toy wood harvest. It’s far more than we can reasonably store. As a matter of fact, I have 9x times the amount shown in the picture below. These leaves are the same safe botanicals we use in our confetti cuisine mix and they make wonderful enrichment. Leaf variety will be apple and pecan with lots of tiny twiggy bits. leaves are offered for five dollars per 16 x 12“ Ziploc bag. We also have bath dust that was donated to us which we can’t use here because it triggers whimsies’s asthma. dust is five dollars per 2 1/2 pound container. If you’d like to support the rescue while picking up some enrichment supplies, this is a perfect opportunity. All prices posted are plus shipping. The regular minimum order applies. Please contact Whimsy as per the ordering instructions with our main website. No orders through this post, please
