We've come so far. When I think about what our space started out as to where it is now, I'm amazed at all the work we've done!
Dixie's Finest Grooming moved into a former nail salon in October of 2024. It took FOUR long months of renovations, during which every single thing went wrong:
🌧️ Leaks in the roof and exterior walls
📑 Lack of permitting & delayed inspections
🔨 Contractor & sub delays
🥶 Building and finishing through an entire WINTER without heat
..and we finally opened February 12th, 2025 over budget and waayyy behind schedule 😅
I'm not yet ready to chuckle at the "character-building" aspect of it all, but I do want to take a moment to thank the people who worked tirelessly, and extremely hard, to make it all possible for my dream: my parents, my husband, and our young boys who tolerated a lot of late nights and stress right alongside us.
There is also the lovely Ms. Allyson, who learned all about our little grooming boutique months before opening so she could be your client service expert and shop manager extraordinaire. ✨
I can never express how much their support meant during those crazy months. And to all of our amazing clients who have filled this shop with love (and happy pups!) since day one: thank you for making all the blood, sweat, and teary winter nights 100% worth it. 💜🐾 ~Heather
