Janie Farmer Taylor 🩷

Julie had a gift for making friends wherever she went and with every generation. Age was never a barrier.. she could connect with just about anyone and she especially cherished the wonderful group of women who surrounded her and became such dear friends.

Janie was one of those special friendships. She and Julie shared a genuine bond, plenty of memories, and a friendship that meant so much to Julie.

It’s a beautiful reminder that Julie’s circle reached far beyond the arena. She had a way of making people feel they belonged 🩷💜💪🏻🪽🤍

A Sunday for Julie 💜

Breakaway wasn’t just another event to Julie.. it was a huge part of her story. A 5-time LRCA Breakaway Champion, with countless other titles and memories made along the way.

Sunday, November 22, 2026 we’ll gather at Murphy Ranch to honor that legacy with a breakaway event dedicated to Julie and the many people and horses she poured into along the way.

For the competitors, the families, the horses, and every legacy she left behind… this one is for you, Julie.

Faith Over Fear. 🤍
Her legacy keeps running.

Katie McKay-Murphy 🤍

Julie’s daughter in law but so much more than that she was one of Julie’s trusted people and someone she was constantly learning and sharing ideas with.

Julie thought the world of Katie and her brilliant mind. Through her EquiScope work at Wonders Wellness, Katie has always been someone who digs deeper, asks questions, and works alongside veterinarians to better understand what’s going on with a horse and how to help them receive the best care and recover as quickly as possible.

Their conversations were always about learning more, doing better, and putting the horse first. That shared dedication is a beautiful part of Julie’s legacy 🤍🪽🏆🐴🙏🏻

Julie had Louie in her program and poured her time, knowledge, and heart into him before Dusky Lynn Hall came to Julie to try him.

Now watching Dusky and Louie make runs like this… it’s pretty special to see a horse Julie believed in continue to do what he was made to do.

A little piece of Julie is in this one. 🤍

Forever proud of the horses she shaped and the legacy she left behind.

JH FIREWATER HONOR was owned by family friends, The Conner’s before he was purchased by the Hall’s.

Julie poured so much of her heart, time, and knowledge into Mike. Watching him run today, carrying Josey around the arena is one of those moments that makes you feel like a little piece of her is still right there with us.

We’re so proud of you, Josey. Always. 🩵

Kathleen Yocum 🧡

A respected horse trainer, gifted instructor, and true animal whisperer. Kathleen is never afraid to ask questions, dig deeper, and keep learning.. always looking for ways to grow her knowledge and become a better horsewoman in every aspect.

She loved Julie deeply and Julie loved her right back. Their relationship was built on mutual respect, a love for horses, and a shared desire to keep growing.

Kathleen truly lives Faith Over Fear and we’re proud to call her part of Julie’s legacy. 🤍

Brianna Farmer 🩷

One of the many people Julie poured her knowledge, time, and belief into. What started as a love for horses grew into a passion for horsemanship, training, and helping others.

Today, Brianna carries those lessons forward through every horse she works with and every rider she teaches.. continuing to share the things Julie so freely gave her through River Equine Wellness LLC.

Julie’s influence is still showing up in the arena, one horse and one person at a time 💪🏻🪽🏆🐴🩷
