Hello there! I’m going to be really vulnerable for a moment, so strap in.

As many of you know, I had recently undergone my second surgery for my endometriosis. It affected my daily life in numerous ways and took a heavy toll on me. I kept pushing through it for so long to keep grooming because I love what I do and I love every pet I care for like family (and you guys too!).

I’ve had symptoms for many years, but it really started rearing it’s ugly head in about November of 2024. I spent a long time just trying to find a doctor to believe me and to help me. I had my first surgery in July of last year. Unfortunately, it came back worse. It only took five months.

To understand what I was going through, this wasn’t just “painful periods”. I would have frequent flare ups of intense pain that would put me on my knees. It was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. Even when I wasn't experiencing the worst of the pain, I was often at a 5-6/10 while just trying to exist. It was affecting my bladder and intestines and even one of my ovaries. Unfortunately, chronic pain (especially high levels of pain) tends to also affect someone’s mental health as well.

The goal of the surgery was to provide quality of life. To some extent, it has accomplished that! And I’m grateful for that. Unfortunately, it didn’t entirely work. To say I was devastated to find that out would be an understatement.

I had been holding it together with tape and glue for so long that even before my surgery I started to fall apart. I was missing appointments and falling off of the map for a lot of people. When I realized that the surgery didn’t work entirely, I just completely fell apart. I went into a dark place for a while and as a result, you all were affected.

I had been spending so much time being trapped in grief and anger and sadness and anxiety of dealing with chronic pain. I got so wrapped up in it and didn’t know how to handle it at all, so I started to avoid it.. It’s not that I stopped caring or disliked anyone, it just ended up becoming too much.

I don’t expect that everyone who I lost along the way will forgive me, what happened is beyond unprofessional. I don’t want to sound like any of this is an excuse, I just want to make sure that anyone who either wanted closure or wanted to seek me out for grooming again got that chance. Even if you want nothing to do with me anymore, just know I love and care about all of y’all and your pets and I do miss them.

I am working on doing better, I promise. And I’d love to make it up to those who still would like me to groom your pets.

I do have online booking requests available now. As a disclaimer, it doesn’t take into account my routes for the day, so the times may have to change or I may even need to change the day. It’ll help me to keep better track of appointments needing to be made and will give you the ability to select your own appointments based on your availability.
