Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. Today 1 year ago, I created Third Floor Roots. It has been a dream of mine for years to garden. Growing up in the country, on a "hobby farm" we grew a fairly large garden every year, also raised some animals from time to time. As a pre-teen/teen, I never wanted much to do with it, I would rather be inside on my computer or watching TV. When I got older I missed getting dirty in the garden and growing plants, by this time I was living in the city, living in apartments with limited room to grow on balconies.

I discovered micro-greens while working in the culinary field, I had very limited knowledge on what they were just knew that they made food pretty. After diving into YouTube video after YouTube video to learn to grow them, I came across a few individuals who helped/inspired me to start growing micro-greens. After some time of fine tuning how to grow them, I decided it was time to kick off a business where I could grow healthy and delicious produce. Selling them to individuals at the farmers market and to a couple of restaurants.

2025 was a great year getting to know my customers and other vendors at the market. Started off scared and nervous not knowing what to expect. As the year went on and I got more comfortable, I realized I made the right decision for myself. Here is a MASSIVE shout out and thank you to everyone who has supported me and my small business growth.

2026 just started let's make it the best year yet. I will continue growing micro-greens and will be offering full grown produce as well this year. I was able to find a garden space towards the end of last year. Looking forward and excited about being able to offer a larger variety of produce to you all this year.
