📍 Found over 2 miles from home… and across an interstate!

Meet Chip, a sweet rescue pup who broke loose from his harness after a larger dog lunged at him during a walk near 38th & Clarion. In the chaos, Chip disappeared — scared, skittish, and on his own.

Lost Pets - KC was brought in to help. We deployed thermal drones using search patterns and automated drone image analysis to scan the nearby woods and neighborhoods. While we didn’t find Chip directly, our efforts helped rule out some areas.

⏳ After nearly 6 days missing… Chip was spotted — over 2 miles from home and across a busy interstate.

🐶 Enter Stephanie Avilla, a dedicated pet trainer, behavioralist and tracker who never gave up on Chip or his family. Her unwavering support paid off — and today, this sweet boy is finally back in the arms of his people.
