Hawk found his person!! Congratulations, Sara, on the purchase of “Buckeye Magic” aka Hawk. This special little OTTB has been with us for a little bit because he needed just the right rider. He found his match in Sara! Everyone knew it was meant to be when we watched her ride him so beautifully the day she came to try him. Her huge smile during the entire ride and how willing he was for her told us all they would be perfect partners. Hawk will be learning how to be a barrel horse in his new home, and we can’t wait to see watch his progression with his new mom!

“Smoke and Ribbons” aka Dakota is a 4 year-old 14.3hh APHA gelding. He has the personality and brains to make your next perfect partner. Raised right from birth with only the best diet and care, this guy has been ponied on trails and exposed to everything for years, but not started under saddle til just before his 4th birthday. Nothing phases him, and he is full of personality. He will let you sit on him and allows kids to climb all over him while laying down! He has had 60 days in professional training, 30 days of groundwork and 30 under saddle learning W/T/C. Built correctly, and a gorgeous mover. Dakota also leads, ties, loads, crossties, stands for the farrier, bathes, and UTD on everything. Finish him in any direction: western, English, shows, or trails. Or do it all!

🦒 Tairn 🦒

Project with tons of potential! Tairn a.k.a. "Butter Up" (JC Name) is an 8 year old unraced thoroughbred gelding standing just a hair under 17hh. Not only is he a stunning looker, but he is 100% sound with completely clean legs and great feet! Currently going in front shoes due to owner preference, but he has been barefoot in the past with zero issue, making him a super rare find for a TB. Tairn stands for grooming, tacking, mounting, bathing, and for the farrier. He loads easily with minimal persuasion, and is happy inside or out. Higher up on the pecking order, but gets along fine in the field, especially after introductions. Average keeper for an extra large TB and not buddy or barn sour. Eye-catching mover in the arena with three balanced and comfortable gaits. Tairn has also been exposed to trail and road riding and lightly started over fences. The cons are that He has been known to throw an occasional buck during the canter, especially when out of regular work. For this reason we recommend an upper level rider who has thoroughbred experience for this big guy. He has a lot of potential for the right person to take in any direction, and just needs to find his match!
