June is National Microchipping Month! A great reminder to make sure your pet has permanent identification! 🐾

Microchips are a simple, safe, and low-cost way to help reunite lost pets with their families. About the size of a grain of rice, a microchip is placed just under your pet’s skin and can be scanned by veterinarians and shelters nationwide. 💙

Even indoor pets can accidentally slip outside, so microchipping adds an extra layer of protection and peace of mind. Be sure to also keep your contact information updated in the microchip database!

This month, we’re highlighting asthma and allergies in pets—common conditions in both dogs and cats that can sometimes go overlooked. 🐾

Symptoms can vary but may include coughing, sneezing, wheezing, itchy skin, recurring ear issues, or difficulty breathing in more serious cases. Triggers can come from pollen, dust, mold, food sensitivities, or other environmental irritants.

A few ways to help support your pet’s comfort include:
✨ Regularly cleaning your home to reduce dust and allergens
✨ Wiping down paws and fur after outdoor time
✨ Paying attention to seasonal or environmental flare-ups
✨ Keeping up with routine wellness exams

If your pet is showing ongoing symptoms or any signs of breathing difficulty, early evaluation is key to keeping them comfortable and healthy.
