🚨 WHEN YOUR FOSTER MOM BECOMES A DOG UBER DRIVER… BUT MAKE IT FASHIONABLE. 😂🐾

One dog? ❌
Two dogs? ❌
A whole mobile dog transportation system? ✅🤣

We've got one little pup riding first class in the VIP tote while our spotted friend is out here serving as the official security detail. 🕵️‍♂️👜🐶

But let's talk about the REAL MVP in this picture! 💙👏

Our wonderful foster is out here giving these babies love, care, and a safe place to land while they wait for their forever homes. And apparently, she's also offering luxury tote transportation and personal chauffeur services. 😂😂

THIS is what fostering looks like sometimes! A little chaos, a lot of love, and occasionally a puppy popping out of a shopping bag like, “Excuse me, driver, I believe you missed my stop!” 🤣

Fosters like her make such a huge difference for our ARF babies. Every safe place, every cuddle, every adventure, and every bit of patience helps prepare these pups for the forever homes they deserve. ❤️🐾

Our scarecrow may be a little different from the rest… because ours has a very important mission: reminding everyone that every dog deserves a second chance at a forever home. ❤️🐶

🖤🐾 HAPPY NATIONAL BLACK DOG DAY! 🐾🖤

Today is all about celebrating those gorgeous black-coated pups who sometimes get overlooked simply because of their color. Around here, we think that’s absolutely ridiculous. 😂

Black dogs aren’t bad luck. They’re good luck with four legs, a wagging tail, and usually a whole lot of personality! 🐕‍🦺✨

And we just happen to know THREE pretty amazing black-ish beauties who are still waiting for their forever families…

Our handsome boy is energetic, curious, and always ready to see what’s going on. He’s got plenty of personality packed into that gorgeous dark coat—and he’s looking for someone who will appreciate all of it!

🖤 PETUNIA
Sweet, gentle Petunia may take a little time to come out of her shell, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality starts to shine. A confident doggy friend can help her build her confidence, and she absolutely loves cuddles once she gets comfortable. 🥹

🖤 OPAL
Opal is a beautiful German Shepherd mix with one VERY special feature… one blue eye! 💙 She’s sweet, affectionate, housebroken, crate trained, and has done well with people and other dogs. Basically, she’s got the beauty AND the brains.

So today, skip the superstition and celebrate the BLACK DOGS! 🖤

It’s officially October 1st, which means…

🍂 The leaves are falling.
🎃 The pumpkins are out.
👻 The spooky season has begun.
☕ Everyone suddenly needs pumpkin spice everything.
🐶 And the ARF dogs are still waiting for someone to explain why they don’t get to eat the pumpkin.

Meanwhile, around ARF…

👻 Ghosts? Scary.
🎃 Pumpkins? Suspicious.
🍬 Halloween candy? Absolutely NOT for dogs.
🦴 Treats? Now THAT’S the good stuff.
🏡 Forever homes? PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

And let’s be honest… the real fright this Halloween isn’t ghosts.

🐾 💗 DOLLY DAY — SEPTEMBER 25💗 🐾

Today we're celebrating Dolly Parton — not just for her music, kindness, and larger-than-life personality, but for something we absolutely LOVE here at ARF…

Her love and compassion for animals. 🐶 🐱 🐴 🐔

Dolly has spent her life caring about animals and speaking up for those who can't speak for themselves. Growing up in the Smoky Mountains, animals were a huge part of her childhood and family life. She has always had a soft spot for animals, and throughout her life, she's been known for caring for and rescuing animals in need.

And if you've ever heard Dolly talk about animals, you know there's no shortage of love there. ❤️

Her compassion has extended beyond her own pets, too. Dolly has supported animal welfare efforts and has used her platform to encourage kindness toward animals and responsible pet ownership.

One of the things we love most about Dolly's outlook is that kindness doesn't have to be complicated.

Sometimes it's a donation.
Sometimes it's opening your home to a foster.
Sometimes it's adopting the animal everyone else overlooked.
Sometimes it's simply stopping to help an animal who needs you.

And sometimes… it's looking at a dog with absolutely NO idea how they ended up in the shelter and saying:

"Well, you're coming home with me." 😂 🐾

That's the kind of compassion we believe in at ARF.

So today, on Dolly Day, we're celebrating a woman whose life has been filled with music, generosity, and a whole lot of love — including love for our four-legged friends. 🐾 💕

🎶 "You can't make a difference to everybody, but you can make a difference to somebody."

And every animal we save matters to that somebody.
