There’s just something about our mornings here. ☕️🐾🌿

Before breakfast, while I enjoy my first cup of coffee, the crew loves to sit outside and just… listen.

Birds chirping, deer in the distance and all the little sounds of wildlife waking up around us. They can sit like this forever, taking it all in. ❤️

No rushing. No chaos. Just a quiet Tennessee morning with my favorite view.

I think this might be my favorite part of the day. ☕️🐾

27 days. 11 trips to the reproductive vet. 1,430 miles. 🤣🐾

This morning I finally get to sit back and reflect on just how much went into breeding Maddie and Autumn this season.

Between progesterone testing, watching behaviors, changing plans, long drives, and doing everything science allows us to do to make sure each girl was bred on the right day… it has been a roller coaster.

Maddie made 5 trips. Autumn made 6 — including yesterday, when we drove over in the morning only to have our reproductive vet decide she would have the best chance if we gave her a few more hours and came back again last night. 😂

Final tally: 11 trips and 1,430 miles in 27 days.

Breeding really isn’t for the faint of heart. There is so much that happens behind the scenes that people never see — but I truly love what I do, and I know we’ve done everything we possibly could to give these girls their best chance. ❤️

And now… we wait.

We’re going to catch up on some much-needed sleep and cross every finger, toe and paw that next month brings us two ultrasound screens full of tiny heartbeats. 🤞🐾

There’s something pretty special about the possibility of Mom and daughter carrying the next generation of Suncoast Goldens together. 🥹❤️
