🖤 INTRODUCING LOCA 🖤

Loca is a 2.5-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois with drive, intelligence, and energy for days! 🤍

She is the most “maligator” type Malinois we’ve come across so far! 🐊

Loca is:

✅ Kennel trained
✅ E-collar trained
✅ House trained
✅ Nearly fully trained in basic obedience

She has already shown strong potential as a working K9 or personal protection dog. 🐕‍🦺

With her high drive, energy, and impressive training ability, Loca would thrive with a strong, experienced handler and is best suited for a working role rather than a typical family pet. ‼️

Loca may take a little time to warm up, but once she bonds with you, she is incredibly loyal and devoted🩶

She is up to date on all veterinary care, spayed, and in excellent health. 🩺

Loca also comes with National Kennel Club (NKC) papers! 📝

UPDATE ON K9 BELLA! 🩷

Bella is a German Shepherd who was adopted through us in December.
This sweet girl is loving her forever home! 🥰
She is enjoying getting to spend time with her little brother Banks, cuddling on the couch with mom, and playing with her frisbee as much as she wants! ☺️

As we have had a large amount of recent messages about possible owner surrenders, we’d love to share our specific rescue criteria and the considerations that take place when we are intaking strays and owner surrendered pups.

‼️Although we currently are NOT open for intaking owner surrenders due to limited kennel space, we believe it is important for us to stay transparent for when we do open up our intakes again. ‼️

At Kira’s K9 Ranch, we strive to help dogs in genuine need while keeping the safety and well-being of the dogs already in our care our top priority. 💯

While we wish we could help every dog, intake decisions are made responsibly and on a case-by-case basis.

✅ Dogs We WILL Take / Consider

🐾 Breeds
• K9 and K9-adjacent breeds, including:
– German Shepherds
– Dutch Shepherds
– Belgian Malinois
– Dobermans
-Mixes of these listed breeds

🐾 Life Stages
• Dogs of all ages, including:
– Newborn puppies
– Adolescents
– Adults

🐾 Behavior
• We are happy to take in untrained dogs as well as reactive/aggressive dogs so long as any and all aggression or past of bites are disclosed before we make our final decision on whether or not we will accept the dog as a surrender.

Special Needs
• We are willing to take in dogs with disabilities or special needs when within our scope of care. This may vary from case to case. 🩺

🐾 Intake Priority
• We work on a triage basis, accepting dogs in emergent or critical situations as our first priority. This often time means that dogs in shelters and strays will take priority over owner surrenders.

❌ Dogs We WILL NOT Take

🚫 Health & Safety
• Unvaccinated dogs from owner surrenders
• Unhealthy dogs from owner surrenders that pose a risk to other dogs
•Dogs with apparent fleas or other parasites.

🚫 Lack of Transparency
• Dogs with undisclosed bite history or unclear history of aggression/reactivity.
• Dogs whose behavioral or medical history is intentionally withheld

🚫 Breeding-Related
• Dogs from breeders or breeder partnerships that do not fall within the category of rescue

Capacity Limitations
• We will not accept dogs when we do not have adequate kennel space or foster placement
• Intake requests that exceed our current staffing, funding, or resource capacity

🐾 Important Notes
• Intake approval is not guaranteed
• All requests are reviewed case-by-case
• Honesty and full transparency are required for everyone’s safety
• We prioritize the most urgent cases first through a triage-based intake process
•For owner surrenders we do take a surrender fee
•Any intact dog surrendered to us will be spayed or neutered while in our care prior to being available for adoption

This morning, Bailey and Sven were both on the euthanasia list.

Tonight, they are warm, safe, and loved at Kira’s K9 Ranch. 🐾❤️‍🩹

✨ Bailey is a 1.5–2 year old German Shepherd with the sweetest disposition. He is playful, people-loving, and already showing what an incredible family dog he will be.
👉 Bailey is ready for adoption now and would make an amazing addition to the right home. 💕

✨ Sven is a 2–3 year old Dutch Shepherd who is incredibly affectionate, intelligent, and eager to connect with his people.
Because Sven is very underweight and not yet neutered, he is not available for adoption just yet—but he will be soon! 🥰 He has a bright future ahead of him.

Meet Banjo 🪕 — a total sweetheart who desperately needs a loving home.

Banjo came to us through no fault of his own when his family could no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. 😔

Despite this big change, Banjo has remained incredibly loving, affectionate, and eager to please. 🧡

This handsome German Shepherd is a champion cuddler who lives for belly rubs, snuggles, and being close to his people. 🥰

Banjo does have some basic obedience under his belt such as sit and lay down. He is also potty trained. 👍🏻

Banjo has been around other dogs in the past and has done well. However, he can be a little too friendly and forget about personal space, so he would thrive either as an only dog or with a calm, tolerant companion. ☺️

With the right setup, Banjo will truly shine. 🌟
