🐾 Tick Season is Here – Protect Your Pets! 🐾
As the weather warms up, ticks become more active—and that means it’s time to be extra vigilant with your furry family members!
🔍 Where to Check Daily: Ticks love to hide in warm, hard-to-see areas. Be sure to check: • Inside & around the ears
• Around the neck & under the collar
• Under the legs (armpit area)
• Between the toes & paws
• Belly & groin area
🛑 Found a Tick? Here’s What to Do:
Use fine-tipped tweezers
Grab the tick as close to the skin as possible
Pull slowly and steadily (don’t twist or jerk!)
Clean the area thoroughly with antiseptic
Wash your hands and dispose of the tick safely
⚠️ Avoid These Common Mistakes: ❌ No matches, flames, or burning
❌ No oils, alcohol, or “home remedies”
These can actually make things worse and increase the risk of infection.
💡 Pro Tip:
Keep your pets on a vet-approved flea & tick preventative and check them after outdoor time—especially here in Florida where ticks thrive nearly year-round!
