WE MADE IT!! 🐾🤍

As a breeder, this is a BIG milestone! Let me explain why TWO WEEKS is such a big deal! 🥹🤍

The first 14 days of a puppy’s life are known as the neonatal stage, and they are some of the most delicate, vulnerable days of their lives. It’s two weeks of around-the-clock monitoring, sleepless nights, and making sure every little baby is thriving.

So when we reach TWO WEEKS, we finally get to breathe a BIG sigh of relief! 🤍

Our babies are bigger, stronger, nursing beautifully, and becoming much more resilient. They’re getting better at regulating their own body temperatures, can go longer between feedings, and have adjusted beautifully to life outside the womb!

And now the FUN begins!! 🤍

🐾 Those little eyes are beginning to open!

🐾 Their ears are opening, and they’ll soon begin responding to sounds!

🐾 Tiny legs are getting stronger, and those wobbly first steps are right around the corner!

🐾 We’re hearing more little squeaks, grunts, and even the occasional tiny bark!

🐾 Over the next week, they’ll become increasingly aware of their surroundings, their siblings, and eventually US!

We’re entering the transitional stage, when these tiny newborns begin turning into actual little puppies🐾🤍🎉

Of course, two weeks doesn’t mean all the worries disappear, but we’ve made it through one of the most critical stages of development, and that’s something worth celebrating!🎉

Fourteen days of loving, nurturing, watching, and worrying over every little detail. And today, we EXHALE! 🤍🐾🎉

These are NOT Sweet Pea’s babies…😂🐾 These are Piper’s babies!

But Sweet Pea has been absolutely DYING to meet them! ❤️

So while Piper was off living her best life with her bestie Chip, I decided it was time for a little supervised introduction.

Sweet Pea was SO happy! She immediately started cleaning, snuggling, and even letting the babies try to nurse! She doesn’t have any milk, but that certainly didn’t stop her! 😂

Now, mixing mamas and newborns is NOT something you can typically do! It takes the right personalities, a special relationship between the mamas, and very close supervision. Thankfully, Piper and Sweet Pea have just that! 🥰

Looks like Piper’s babies have themselves an honorary grandma! 😂❤️🐾

🐾Oh, what a difference a DAY makes!⚡️

At this age, puppy development is happening at lightning speed! ⚡️One day their eyes are tightly shut, and the next we’re seeing little peepers! 🐾 It’s amazing how much can change in just 24 hours. ⚡️

Tomorrow we celebrate a H U G E milestone in our journey and we are just so incredibly grateful and excited to have healthy , thriving , 2 week olds! 🐾⚡️🥹🐻

🐾❤️ 12 DAYS OF PURE PUPPY PERFECTION! ❤️🐾

Pipers red-collar baby boy has officially opened those precious eyes! 👀❤️ The rest of the crew is still taking their sweet time, and that’s perfectly fine! Every puppy develops at their own pace, and those little peepers will be making their debut soon enough!🤗

While sleeping is still their full-time job (and they take it VERY seriously 😂), we’re starting to see some exciting changes!

🐾 They’re becoming more mobile, scooting and wiggling their way around.

🐾 They’re finding their voices! Those tiny squeaks and little puppy sounds are becoming more frequent.

🐾 Their growing tummies are allowing them to go a little longer between feedings.

🐾 Their little bodies are getting better at regulating their own temperature, although they still rely on mama and their cozy environment for warmth.

It’s amazing how much development happens in just 12 short days! What looks like a whole lot of sleeping, eating, and snuggling is actually a whole lot of growing!❤️ Two week milestone is right around the corner and we are so excited for these sweet kids! ❤️ ❤️

Sunday might just be the sweetest little mama I’ve ever seen!! 🥹❤️🐾🐻

We just wrapped up our ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) exercises for the day! All of our puppies begin this curriculum at just 3 days old, and we continue through day 16 to help support their early neurological development and ability to respond to mild stressors.💯

And let me tell you, Sunday did NOT leave my side! 🥹 She watched so intently and curiously as each of her babies took their turn, and the second we finished, she snuggled right back up with her little crew. ❤️🐻

These babies are so lucky to have such a sweet, attentive mama looking after them.

And speaking of her babies… those beautiful little curls are already coming in, and I swear their gorgeous red coats get deeper by the day! 😍❤️🐻

What a beautiful little bunch! We are absolutely smitten with our little mini family! 🐾💕 🐾🤗❤️🐻
