At Jacksonville Community Pet Clinic we are committed to improving patient care for our pets. We are excited to share with you that we will be acquiring Phovia!

Well, what exactly IS Phovia and how does this innovative technology help your pet?

Phovia is a two part system, comprised of a specialized LED light system paired with a chromophore gel. Used together, they produce multi-wavelength fluorescent light energy that can pe*****te the skin to variable lengths. Unlike other systems, Phovia is capable of triggering different beneficial responses at different levels.

Phovia works with the skin’s natural healing response to help skin and wounds heal more quickly. The combination of light and chromophore gel helps speed up cell regeneration and growth. This leads to a quicker, and more complete, healing time in a process called Photobiomodulation (PBM).

Photobiomodulation was shown to stimulate the secretion of several growth factors including:
Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)
Fibroblast Growth Factors (FGFs)
Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF-β)
Collagen production

Phovia is a clinically proven dermatology system shown to visibly reduce recovery time by up to 50% through the use of fluorescent light energy (FLE).

This is an exciting addition for us and we look forward to seeing how Phovia speeds up healing times for post operative care, open wounds, superficial and deep pyoderma cases, hot spots, lick granulomas, and more!
