We're excited to be a part of the R Park Summer Solstice Celebration by Jackson Hole Land Trust on June 18th from 4-7PM!

Stop by the Pet Partners tent to meet some of our registered therapy dogs, learn about our community work, and hang out in our chill zone.

While you're there, enjoy live music by MOJO, cold drinks, JACZ sliders, ice cream, and plenty of summer fun with friends and family. Meals are $10, kids under 12 eat for free, and proceeds help support R Park throughout the summer.

Have you ever wondered whether your dog or cat might make a good therapy animal?

Teton County Pet Partners is hosting a Pet Partners team evaluation on June 10 at St. John's Jackson Hole in Hansen Hall, and we'd love for prospective teams to come observe.

The team evaluation is a required part of the Pet Partners registration process. It's where handlers and their pets demonstrate that they are a good fit for therapy animal work.

Observing an evaluation is one of the best ways to learn what therapy animal work is all about and what will be expected of you and your pet if you decide to pursue registration in the future.

Not sure whether your pet is a good candidate? That's okay! Many people are surprised to learn that therapy animals don't need to be perfect. The most successful therapy animals are those that genuinely enjoy meeting new people, remain comfortable in a variety of environments, and like being handled by strangers.

Our therapy animal teams bring smiles to seniors, comfort to hospital patients, support for children learning to read, and stress relief to everyone they meet. We currently have 45 teams, but demand for visits continues to grow, and we'd love to welcome more teams to the program.

Ready to share the love of your furry friend with those who need it most? If you're considering becoming a Pet Partners team with your pet, the Therapy Animal Handler Course is the perfect first step! Hosted by our local instructor, Dr. Elizabeth Lynch, this course will prepare you for the rewarding experience of therapy animal work. You'll learn everything you need to know to become a confident and successful handler, from visit best practices to evaluation preparation.

Finals week can be stressful, but our therapy dogs have a few study hacks to help you stay calm, focused, and pawsitive!

Join us at Teton County Library for Paws for Pats this Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6PM and spend a few minutes with a registered therapy team. Sometimes the best study strategy includes a wagging tail and listening ear.

Goldie and Boudi bring comfort, connection, and plenty of smiles wherever they visit. Whether they’re listening to young readers, supporting students through the school day, or simply offering a calm moment during a busy afternoon, the pair helps create spaces where people feel supported and encouraged.

They support literacy and learning through visits to Teton County Library,Teton Literacy, and the Children's Learning Center, where reading alongside therapy dogs helps build both skills and enthusiasm. Beyond the classroom, they share companionship and comfort with participants at Community Entry Services Jackson, WY, creating moments of connection that leave a lasting impact.

Their visits reach students and community members throughout the valley, including Colter Elementary School (Teton County School District), C-V Ranch, Jackson Elementary School, Munger Elementary School, Jackson Hole Community School, and Teton Science Schools. At Jackson Hole High School’s Club Time and Life Skills programs, they help foster confidence and create meaningful connections for students.

Read to a dog! Children ages 5-12 are invited to join us for the FINAL Ruff Readers of the season this Tuesday from 3:30-4:30PM in the Youth Auditorium at Teton County Library. Reading aloud to dogs has proven to help children build reading skills, boost confidence, and discover that reading can be a tail-wagging good time.

Our last Ruff Readers was full of smiles, snuggles, and patient listening. A big thank you to Abigail and Lupe for making each session so special. This week, Keiko and Alyssa Lynn will be our final Ruff Readers team before we pause for summer. Don't miss the chance to read with this wonderful duo!

If you've ever wondered what it takes to get involved, join us on May 26th or June 10th for a Pet Partners team evaluation. Hosted at St. John's Jackson Hole in Hansen Hall, the first evaluation starts promptly at 5PM and we expect to wrap up by 8PM.

This is where you and your pet demonstrate that you are a good fit for therapy animal work. Each team will have a 20-30 minute time slot.

Note: To sign up for the evaluation, you’ll first need to complete the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Handlers Course. It’s offered online and now in person too!
