The Hill County Fairgrounds will have dumpsters and trucks for community wide cleanup on May 16th from 8am - 4pm! This is the perfect opportunity to cleanup some yards and get rid of any old junk! There are some guidelines to this please read below!

Note: there will also be a truck at Cedar Creek VFD (FM 2604) to throw away old tires on this day as well.

Update: I now have them in my custody due to the fact they are tearing trash up and chasing cats. Please claim your dogs.

Good Morning Itasca,

Per our city ordinance your grass cannot exceed 12 inches at any point whether you live there or you own a vacant lot. Please mow your yard. This is your warning. I do understand it just rained but it’s dry enough now to mow. Below is our ordinance. Thank you

Sec. 12-9.2 REGULATION OF GRASS, WEEDS, RUBBISH, BRUSH AND UNSIGHTLY VEGETATION
The owner or occupant of any property or a portion thereof, occupied or unoccupied, within the City, shall not allow, maintain, or permit uncultivated grass, weeds, brush, or other unsightly vegetation to grow thereon to a height greater than twelve (12) inches upon such property, including the area between the property and the curb or the edge of pavement of any adjacent street or alley.

Does anyone recognize this dog. He is roaming around 4787 FM 934 and the home owners asked me to help them. They have a service dog and can’t let him out cause this dog is outside their house. Please remember to bundle your outside pets up and keep them warm. With the temperature dropping they need to be brought inside and out of the bad weather. If you must leave them outside please make sure they have a warm spot out of the weather and plenty of food and water that’s not turned into ice.
