They’ve waited. They’ve watched other dogs come and go. They are loved by their foster families and rescue volunteers, but they’re still waiting for their happily ever after.

This summer, we’re shining the spotlight on some of our LONG-TERM RESIDENTS - the dogs who have been overlooked for far too long.

💙 They’re ready.
💙 They’re deserving.
💙 They’re STILL waiting.

Let’s make the end of summer the beginning of forever. Follow along as we reintroduce some of these amazing dogs and help us find the families who will finally say: “You’re home.”

Thelma is another German Shepherd in spirit, but not looks, she is a sweet lab-mix, on the smaller side. This pretty girl had a very rough start in life and was part of a hoarding case where A LOT of dogs were living in a one bedroom apartment. Thelma has since adapted to being in a foster home and part of a normal household. She would love nothing more than a home to call her own with another dog friend.

Our next pup who has been waiting a while for a home to call her own is Decca! She is a rescue baby through and through. She was born right here in our rescue, adopted as a puppy, but returned when her young, energetic personality turned out to be a bit too much for the senior dog in her home.

Decca is sweet, playful, and eager to please. She knows her basic commands, is housebroken and absolutely loves toys and having a job to do. She loves playing "chuck it" ball and will chase and return her ball to you all day long if you let her. She is the kind of dog who lights up when she gets to work with her person. Decca truly shines with structure, guidance, and a handler who enjoys working with their dog. But Decca is also shy and will take a little bit to warm up to you and let you see who she truly is.

First one up is Denali - he came to us from a shelter together with his best friend, Biscuit. Despite his brawny man exterior, Denali is a a soft, sensitive soul. He is not going to be the dog who rushes up to you and chooses you to be his owner, but once you earned his trust, he is a sweet and faithful companion. He gets along with other dogs, is potty and crate trained.

💫🐾 BELLADONNA - OUR BEAUTIFUL LADY 🐾💫

Belladonna is a 2 - 3 year old Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd mix who is looking for her happily ever after!

This girl is smart as a whip, very active and loves to love on her person. She recently completed obedience training and of course graduated cm laude! She likes to keep busy, go on hikes, runs, you name it, she is by your side. She is also health conscious, her favorite snacks are greek yogurt with blueberries, green beans and apples.
