Oh Hi! Skidmarkz has submitted sanctioning for our 2026 Amana, IA Tournaments!

Spring has Spring! April 11 & 12 - Closing Date 3/18/26
Summer Sizzle* July 25 & 26 - Closing Date 7/1/26

Both tournaments offer Unlimited Regular, Open, Multibreed and Veterans Classes.

*Sizzling conditions highly probable, but not guaranteed!

Now that the CanAm vibe has settled (or has it?), we are moving on to the next big thing! No rest for the wicked! Skidz leaves in just a few short days for UFLI Champs at the lovely Purina Farms in St. Louis!

Our five lineups are sure to keep us busy! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

But did you know that the color ‘orange’ was actually named after the fruit and not the other way around?

Skidmarkz embodies that word.

2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 - 7 times we have reached the CanAm Finals. An amazing string of success, but all things end. As a team we were prepared for that.

This year was fraught with uncertainty for Skidz. With big changes, we lowered our expectations. As dogs age, new pups hit the lanes, this year CanAm would be about rebuilding and gaining confidence. Our dogs paid no mind to the humans' expectations. Brink Wire and Flex welcomed newbie Salty to Silent But Deadly's lineup, just hoping to help the newb gain experience. To come out of Regular 3, somehow in the top 8 was beyond cool!

Making it to the top 4 for Multibreed...that is an insane challenge. Wet N Wild was stressing me out all summer. They pulled it together this weekend! 0.4 seconds between the team seeds, competition was TOUGH! We knew these dogs thrive in the finals insanity. Still nothing is a sure thing, and you have to fight for each win. But with a whole team behind us, cheering, supporting, there for us if we win or lose. Did a win matter? Not really. Did that win still feel amazing? Yes.

That same team cheering, was bawling as a group just hours earlier as I retired my nearly 12 year old dog. The same team that cheered for Salty on lost heat, when she reran and carried her ball. The same team that gave wrap to a competitor when they needed it. The same team that supported a kid running a green dog in a high stakes race, that they lost. The same team that jumped in to clean random blood off the lanes to keep racing moving, the same team that scrambled like crazy, running 7 lineups all weekend. That's the team I'm cheering for and with, win or lose.
