Okay but can we talk about how this girl is STILL here?! 😭🐾

This is Wilma.

Wilma was literally born into our program. Her mama, Marge, came to us and raised her babies right here inside Infinite PawsAbilities. And judging by those ears and those gorgeous markings? We’re guessing Dad was a shepherd. 👀

But let me tell you who Wilma really is…

She is the SOFTEST soul of the litter.
The easy one.
The “oh my gosh she’s just good” puppy.

She has been amazing from the start. Easy as pie. Sweet. Steady. Smart.

She loves other dogs — her bestie is Padme (yes, from Princess Leia… because obviously their moms are best friends and that tracks 😂). She plays beautifully, reads other dogs well, and would thrive with a canine sibling.

She’s had:
✔️ Basic crate training
✔️ Puppy training
✔️ Structure
✔️ Socialization

She is not a project. She is a gift.

And now she’s just… waiting.

Waiting for her person.
Waiting for her couch.
Waiting for her forever.

She came to us bursting with babies.

Marge arrived at the shelter pregnant, carrying an entire future inside her. Through our Pregnant Paws Program, she delivered her beautiful litter safely — and she was an incredible mama. Some of her pups are still looking for homes…

But now?

It’s her turn.

Marge is currently in our prison training program, working hard every day toward her Canine Good Citizen certification. She’s soaking up structure, manners, and confidence. She’s great in playgroups, loves to romp with other dogs, and then happily settles in to just hang out by your side.

Her best friend? Princess Leia — our founding mama of the Pregnant Paws Program. 💛

Marge has done her job. She raised her babies. She survived the shelter. She’s putting in the work.

Now she deserves someone who chooses her.

Infinite PawsAbilities is looking for volunteers to help at our monthly adoption events in Roseville and Sacramento. Whether you help handle dogs, talk with potential adopters, help set up, or simply represent our mission — you can be part of helping a dog find their forever home.

No experience required. Just a willingness to help dogs and people connect. 💜

Some dogs come to us with a story.
And some dogs become the story.

Meet Princess Leia 👑✨

She didn’t start out as royalty. She came to us named Freeway — because a good Samaritan saw her heavily pregnant, running down the freeway, just trying to survive.

Our rescue partners scooped her up, but they didn’t have room for the “big dogs.”

So she became something even bigger.

She became the founding mama of our Pregnant Paws Program.

On the Fourth of May (because of course she did), she delivered our Star Wars litter. And it was only fitting that this brave, steady, gentle soul be renamed Princess Leia — because that’s exactly who she is.

Now her babies are almost all grown and gone (just one left 💫), and Leia has been spending her time in our prison training program.

And here’s the beautiful twist:

She’s training them more than they’re training her.

Leia is naturally smart. Gentle. Emotionally intuitive. She has quietly taught newer handlers what it means to be a benevolent leader — how to bring out the best in a dog through patience, consistency, and kindness.

She’s good in playgroups.
She loves everyone she meets.
She’s steady. Soft. Wise beyond her years (we suspect she’s about 2–3).

This girl survived a freeway.
Raised a litter.
Built a program.
Helped shape men into better trainers.

And now?

She deserves her soft place to land. 🐾

Meet Grace 💚

Grace is a beautiful middle-aged German Shepherd looking for a soft place to land. She’s past the puppy chaos and into the “let’s enjoy life together” stage — an easy keeper who enjoys lounging nearby, going for walks, and the occasional game of ball.

Grace would thrive as an only dog, though she may do well with the right calm male or small dog companion. She has also been incredibly gentle with the puppies in our program, showing us just how sweet and steady she truly is.

If you’ve been looking for a loyal companion without the puppy problems, Grace may be your girl. Her obedience is spot on and she has her Canine Good Citizen.

I need to talk to you about something important.

Right now… we are full.

Our dogs are ready.
They’ve done the work.
They’ve learned the skills.
Many have passed their Canine Good Citizen test.
They are prepared for their families.

And the shelters keep calling.

HOW. IS. OPAL. STILL. HERE?! 😩💎

Look at this face.
Look at that smile.
Look at that “Adopt Me” bandana practically begging you.

This is Opal — appx 2 years old, Staffordshire Terrier mix, professional joy spreader, and certified wiggle machine.

When Opal first came to us, she had BIG feelings. Big excitement. Big “OMG HI I LOVE YOU LET ME HUG YOUR FACE” energy. And guess what?

She has WORKED. 👏
She has passed her Canine Good Citizen test and is ready for her new family. She has learned how to channel that enthusiasm into focus, play, and connection.

And here’s the update that makes this even better…

She is doing BEAUTIFULLY in playgroups. Balanced. Social. Playful.
She LOVES to play.

She loves toys.
She loves people.
She loves life.

What she needs now?

Someone to love her back.

Not a “maybe someday” home.
Not a “she’ll get adopted eventually” home.

HER home.

There is something really special about a middle-aged German Shepherd.

They aren’t chaos.
They aren’t puppy nonsense.
They aren’t looking for the world.

They’re looking for their person.

Grace is that dog.

She has already done the work. She has passed her CGC program. She walks beautifully on leash. She knows her obedience. She has excellent recall. She is crate trained. Clean. Structured. Solid.

But that’s not the best part.

The best part?

Her heart.

Grace doesn’t care about dog park drama. She doesn’t need constant stimulation. She doesn’t want to play all day. She wants to lay near you. Follow you from room to room. Rest at your feet while you work. Exist in your orbit.

She would thrive as the only dog, where she can finally exhale and just belong. (She does adore puppies — her best friend is a female pup — but her joy isn’t in play… it’s in people.)

She is mature. She is loyal. She is ready.

And she is waiting.
