Do you have a picky eater? Just want to get more nutrition in your baby's diet?

We do this by making a topper to add over dry food!

Our recipe:

• 3 lbs ground meat (our favorites are chicken, turkey, or venison)
• 1 lb chicken liver
• 12 oz pea and carrot mix
• 12 oz cut green bean mix
• 12 oz blueberries

Pro tip: stock up on frozen veggies and blueberries and if you're out of town, swing by Aldi for all ingredients!

Chop up and cook chicken livers, add ground meat and brown all together. Add all veggies and blueberries and mix together. Let cool and freeze in containers or refrigerate.

To feed: We weigh out the topper according to the weight of dog, per day and subtract a bit from their dry food to compensate.

Small dogs (10-29 lbs): 1 to 2 Tbs or 1 oz
Medium dogs (30-59 lbs): 1/4 cup or 2 to 3 oz
Large dogs (60-89 lbs): 1/2 cup or 4 to 5 oz
XL dogs (90+ lbs): 3/4 cup or 6 to 7 oz

Obviously do what works best for you, this is just our plan! We are not vet technicians, just dog parents who have done a little research!
Enjoy!

We borrowed this image to say... It's HOT today and will be even hotter tomorrow. Help to spread the word that dogs and cats overheat faster than we do.
Fun ways to help them:
*Give them a kiddie pool
*Give ice treats if they'll eat them
*Invest in a cooling mat
*Provide shady areas with toys
*Time their outdoor play and get them in again

And...a swim in the lake and pup cups never hurt!

Stay safe and have fun!!
