Moonpie is doing well! 😊 she’s in her own room still, due to having a URI upon coming home from the shelter. I was luckily able to have her see one of the vets at my work, and she’s been improving fast on doxycycline. Next week I will start introductions to the other animals in the house ❤️

An update and a BIG surprise! ✨We adopted Moonpie!✨ I finally got an update on her today and visited with her. As soon as I was reunited with her, I knew we had to bring her home to live with us forever 🥰

I also sent all the snack cake babies back to the humane society today. Zebra Cake, Star Crunch, and Fudge Round are ready to have their spay and neuter surgeries and go up for adoption! Swiss Roll and Cosmic Brownie were having some difficulty gaining weight this last week, and with the 4th of July weekend I wasn’t able to make great contact with the shelter. They currently are otherwise still doing well overall, and are approaching their weight requirement, so they should also be available soon.

Don’t scroll if you are squeamish! Mama Moonpie is back at the shelter. She is doing well otherwise, but on Wednesday I reached out about what looks to be an abscess on one of Moonpie’s mammaries. (It looks like a really bad pimple) It doesn’t seem to be painful to her, but it did look like it was either already infected or going to be. I applied warm compresses over the last 48 hours and it was looking a little calmer this morning. But this is something new to me, so I am not sure exactly what it is. Picture on slide 3.

The whole litter went in at 1pm today for exams and vaccines. Because the baby snack cakes are fully weaned and independently eating both wet and dry food, as well as fully using the litter box, Moonpie was due to return for her spay procedure anyway. So they have kept her with them after their appointment this afternoon. I don’t have any other info right now, but I have reached out for an update on her progress, and will post again when I know more! ❤️

New fosters are here!! They are the snack cakes because Mama was already named Moonpie 🌙 🥮and as per usual, she is an absolute sweetheart!💖

The rest of their names are posted next to their pictures 😊

These babies are 3.5 weeks old and I should only have them just a few weeks until they’re all over 2lbs.
