Oh Dunky 😅

This cat... He sat on my lap for half an hour being petted. When my legs were asleep and it was time for bed, I picked him up and put him in his kennel. He annoyedly flicked his tail, turned around, and climbed right back onto my lap, laid down, and dug his claws in. Now he's glaring and flicking his tail while making biscuits on my leg. I am putty in his paws.

Donut is a very sweet little cat who loves to sit on laps and be petted. She also enjoys being held in your arms. She loves toys and is very rambunctious. Donut likes to play with other cats but needs a tolerant cat since one of her favorite activities is jumping out from behind something to pounce on cats.

Donut came to us as a very spicy kitten who would scratch or bite with little provocation. She has come a loooong way in foster but occasionally if spooked will nip or swat. For this reason, her ideal home is with someone familiar with cat body language and preferably no kids or older kids who can respect a cat.

Please share posts about Donut if you see them, she's officially available for adoption! She came to me as a spicy barn kitten. She'd been brought to the vet to be spayed for TNR, but when she started pi***ng blood in the cage after spay, the owner said to just put her down. Thankfully our vet called us and got them to surrender her, and that's how she ended up with me. When she first arrived, she did NOT like me. She would bite me and scratch me for no reason, she was very feisty. Over time she became a little more friendly but she would still lash out for no apparent reason.

One day, I came down to the quarantine cage to do her care and found blood everywhere, and she once again had a UTI. After a month of antibiotics, it was cleared up, but unfortunately her gut microbiome was destroyed and she had chronic diarrhea which took a while to fix. During that time, she became very friendly, even becoming a lap cat and enjoying being held. Now she only tries to nip or swat if she doesn't like something I do or I startle her, which is very very rare. She's a great little cat! She's about a year old now and it's time for her to find a family of her own. She eats sensitive skin and stomach food with a probiotic and some fiber sprinkled on, and she's doing great!
