Sometimes dog training is this simple❤️

Sig knows this park is FULL of squirrels. He saw a couple today already. He has never seen me on a swing. Once our dogs have basic knowledge, we get to build on that skill by doing random things all of the time.

He was safely secured to the bench. Even though he never got up, his safety is always number one!

Slatmills are self propelled and a great way for a dog to get some extra energy out! Sig and I are just starting our journey in using one.

He decides how fast to go and when to stop, which I love! I am going to utilize this on the hot days, cold days, and the days where he just needs a little more exercise.

This is not a replacement for walks or training, but it is a great addition!

Brushing doesn't have to be boring and fetch doesn't have to be just throwing a ball! In my opinion, they are better together.

Not only does this achieve my goal of taking care of Sig, it also builds our bond and trust as he learns that the things we HAVE to do are actually fun.

Scent work/shed hunting is a great way to get a pup some exercise while also encouraging them to use their nose. You do not need a huge yard to do this. We started training this inside our house. We still do hide antlers around the house from time to time, and he is still worn out afterwards.

A day with Sig out on the town!

We went to a few places and I really got to spend some time working on how I communicate with him with so many dogs and people.

I did not get it in the video, but he got to greet a lot of kids on this trip. Each time, he rested his head in my hand while they petted him so that he did not lick them or accidentally bump into them. It was nice to give kids more confidence around larger dogs! The therapy dog course is what set us up for this!

Sig graduated Animal Inspirations, LLC therapy dog class (for the 3rd time LOL).

You might ask yourself why I would ever take the same class three times. Here's why:

Each time Sig has taken this class, I have seen improvements. The knowledge Sherry gives us is the entire foundation of how we have grown our public manners. Today after class, Sig and I went to Cabelas, Scheeles, and a dog patio for lunch. During these outings, we had a group of three children and multiple adults all come up to Sig at once. Thanks to this class, I had the skills to comfortably control a crowd while also making sure Sig behaved appropriately so the kids had a good experience.

We worked in close quarters with dogs walking around everywhere. It was such a great experience and this class set us up to succeed.

I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to have learned everything I have from Sherry.

Trying to navigate a multi dog household? Let's chat about it!

Training one dog is NOT easy. Managing two at once? It feels like an impossible task! I brought these two together for the first time in a while and just said "let's see what we can do!"

This shoot really made me appreciate those who manage a multi-dog household. It took a lot of thought on how I was going to communicate each task to each dog simultaneously.

R***r and his family have been AMAZING to work with. Here is what they have to say about their experience with Field & Fence😊 thank you guys for your trust!

"My son and I met Kaylee through our puppy training class. R***r was 12 weeks old when we started training him. Kaylee worked with us at class but she also came to our house for two visits through her business Field & Fence Dog Training.

During the first visit we discussed what our goals were, she assessed our house/yard, and developed a training plan for us. She also demonstrated training techniques as well. She followed up the visit with texts to check-in and a written training plan.

Her second visit was to work one-on-one with my son. R***r tended to jump on him, scratch him, and bite at his feet and clothes. She worked with our son on techniques he could use to keep R***r calm and prevent the jumping and biting. The visit was followed up with an updated written training plan and check-ins via text.

R***r is now 5 months old and still has his moments but with the training and tools received from Kaylee we feel confident we can handle it. He and my son have more positive interactions with hardly any jumping or biting.
