✨ Six little hearts, six unique personalities, and one unforgettable journey. Watching these beautiful babies grow has been such an amazing experience, and we are so proud of the stunning puppies they have become. 🐾❤️

While this litter has officially found their families and is not available, we are so excited for each of them to begin their next chapter with their forever homes. Seeing them leave is bittersweet, but knowing how loved they already are makes it all worthwhile.

At 4½ weeks old, our little crew is officially in their “eat first, ask questions later” era! Watching these sweet babies learn to enjoy puppy mush and become more independent is one of our favorite milestones in the puppy journey.

🐾 Wondering When Our Next Puppies Will Arrive? 🐾

I get dozens of messages every day asking, “When will you have more puppies?” so I wanted to make one post that explains how our program works.

At Waggin’ Wieners – Doxies of South MS, we are not a puppy mill. Our dogs are family first, and we breed responsibly with the goal of producing healthy, well-socialized puppies. Because of that, we don’t always have puppies readily available, and we believe that’s how responsible breeding should be.

Most dachshunds come into heat about twice a year, but Mother Nature doesn’t always follow a calendar, so breeding timelines are always estimates.

Based on my girls’ cycles, I’m expecting them to come into heat around late November through December. If everything goes as planned and they have successful breedings, puppies should arrive approximately 60–63 days later.

One thing I love about my program is taking everyone along for the journey. I don’t just announce puppies when they’re born—I share updates every step of the way, including:
🐶 When my girls come into heat
💕 When they’ve been bred
🍼 Early signs of pregnancy
🩻 Pregnancy confirmations through ultrasound or X-ray
🐾 Puppy announcements, milestones, and growth

One thing that’s incredibly important to us is raising well-socialized puppies. ❤️

From the very beginning, our puppies are lovingly handled every single day and grow up surrounded by our family—including our children. They experience gentle cuddles, playtime, everyday household sounds, and lots of positive interactions that help build their confidence.

Our kids learn how to respectfully handle and love each puppy, and in return, our puppies learn that people are safe, kind, and fun to be around. We believe these early experiences help create happy, confident companions that transition more easily into their forever homes.

It’s more than raising puppies—it’s raising well-loved family members. 🐾❤️
