Happy Labor Day from everyone at Veterinary Surgical Center of Long Island. 🐾
Today we're thinking about the people who show up every single day, not because it's easy, but because the work matters. That's something we understand deeply here. Our team will be working today. Tomorrow. Every day of the year. Because emergencies don't take holidays, and neither do we.
If you're heading into a long weekend of barbecues and gatherings, a couple quick reminders from our team:
Keep food secured. Labor Day spreads are full of things that can land your dog in our ER (onions, corn cobs, grapes, cooked bones). Remind your guests not to feed them scraps.
Watch the doors. More people coming and going means more opportunities for a curious pet to slip out. Double-check that ID tags are current.
Pavement is still hot in early September. Short-coated dogs and sensitive paws especially. Test the ground with your hand before a walk.
To every Long Island pet family having a wonderful long weekend: enjoy every second of it. And if anything comes up with your pet today, we are here.
Open 24/7. Walk-ins always welcome. 📞 (631) 517-1773 · vscli.com
