Dr. Willis and the team would like to extend their appreciation for everyone being patient and understanding while we work to get the farm truck up and running again! Recently Dr. Willis went to a farm call and while she was out “Granny” was sure to keep a close eye on the doctor’s little ones. She was sure to follow the kiddos around and was happily paid in treats for her hard work!

Welcome to Three Rivers Veterinary Services! It’s an honor to serve this community. I am committed to providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care with a practical and personal touch.

As we get started, I’d like to share a few important policies that help me ensure smooth operations and the best possible service for you and your animals:

Communication & Scheduling

1. Routine appointments can be scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-5:30pm. I will make every effort to accommodate daytime emergencies during these hours.

2. The best way to reach me is by text at (410) 688-2306. I do my best to reply within 48 hours, though emergencies will always take priority.

3. As a veterinarian and a mom, I share emergency on-call duties with Tidewater Veterinary Hospital (301-884-3231). I am personally on call every Thursday night and one weekend per month.

4. In an emergency, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I will guide you to the appropriate care, whether it’s me or another on-call veterinarian.

Payment & Billing

1. Payment is expected at the time of service. This allows me to continue offering timely, high-quality veterinary care.

2. Due to the nature of being a small business, a 3% surcharge fee will be applied to credit card transactions. This is not greater than our cost of acceptance. You are welcome to avoid this fee by paying with cash, check or debit card. Estimates can be provided prior to services rendered.

3. If you choose to pay by credit card, your card will be securely stored on file for future transactions unless you request otherwise.

4. We are hoping to start taking Care Credit in the near future but are unable to accept this form of payment at this time.

Meet the team!

Charlotte Hainaut has been passionate about animals for as long as she can remember. Homeschooled from middle school onward, she earned her GED and is currently pursuing her license as a veterinary technician. Being homeschooled gave her the flexibility to pursue hands-on experience with animals early on, which helped lay the foundation for her career in veterinary medicine.

She brings over a year of experience in the field to her role at Three Rivers Veterinary Services, where she works under the guidance of Dr. Willis. Charlotte is known for her calm, compassionate approach and her deep commitment to the health and well-being of every animal she encounters.

Her love for animals began at an early age. She’s been riding horses since the age of five and has always felt at home in their presence. When she’s not working, she enjoys tending to her garden and spending time out on horseback.

Charlotte is proud to be part of the Three Rivers team and looks forward to continuing to grow in her role while supporting the pets and families in her community.

Meet the team!

Dr. Mallan Willis is the owner and lead veterinarian of Three Rivers Veterinary Services. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and further honed her clinical skills during a year-long internship at Woodside Equine Clinic.

In 2017, Dr. Willis relocated to Southern Maryland and joined Tidewater Veterinary Hospital, where she spent five years developing a strong foundation in mixed animal practice. She then continued her career at Potomac Animal Wellness Services, gaining valuable experience. While grateful for the skills and relationships built there, she felt the call to return to primarily equine and large animal medicine.

Dr. Willis recently became certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA), allowing her to provide specialized chiropractic care for animals. This advanced certification reflects her commitment to integrative, evidence-based medicine to improve animal health and wellness. With her IVCA training, Dr. Willis uses gentle, hands-on techniques to help restore mobility, alleviate pain, and support overall musculoskeletal function in her patients.

Dr. Willis lives in Southern Maryland with her husband, Jordan, and their three children. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys horseback riding, training her two-year-old horse, running, and spending time with her family.
